WONDERFUL BOOK, STONEWALLED! I just had to express my admiration for your book. Of course I personally could read thousands of pages on Benghazi, Hillary, etc. But when you went into other subjects and the politics and machinations of the “news?” people, you never lost me for even one word! We need someone like you for President; PLEASE RUN! 🙂

Your chosen candidate or not – Trump is becoming the conduit, the means for American’s to voice their angry screams of disgust over our corrupt crony capitalist government. The time is beyond late, it is now or never for the country. Trump is fed up, the country is fed up, and with his help it is our last chance to stick it to the oligarchs and “Bring America Back” to the people. Let’s all hope and pray he is locked on this time around to go all the way. When you stop and think about it, his age and personality (too old to give a damn) and financial independence from the Uniparty bosses are the only way to break their backs. All they have is money and ridicule to control the candidates. With Trump, neither one works. This includes the MSM. And it is sooo satisfying to watch the bastards squirm.

Omgoodness. I have heard the voice of not only reason but the voice of SANITY. Trump is many of the things that he’s been called, a sexist, a with a good ole boy way of doing business. Because he says what he thinks when the words come out of his mouth Unsvripted like the rest of us. When we JQPublic are talking about anything not just politics. We don’t have a copy from a speech writer. We don’t have a monitor which to follow on any given topic. Our words are not perfect, nor our sentences. Just normal conversation. That’s why Trump has resonated with the public. I understand him, because it’s plain folk speak. Not high and mightier than me conversation. He says what many of us don’t have a way to make our thoughts and feelings heard. He’s upset the perverbial Applecart. Hope I’m making an ounce of sense here. I’m elderly, worked very hard my whole life doing menial work. Laundry and ironing, motels, waitress etc. IM a proud conservative even if I haven’t had the book learning many of you have had. I was not smart enough for college. That’s okay I made my way in the world. It took every bit of our savings to care for my husbands care the last years of his life. Sold the house car, everything. I gave him the best care I could. Paying $7000.00 a month in a facility goes all the extras needed and I had to live too. Now he has passed and I’m having to move to another state where I can get cheaper rent, and public transportation. I’m not complaining just explaining. I pray Mr. TRump beats the pants off that woman. Because I’d like to know how just HOW does someone who leaves the WHITE HOUSE and live like she has and be BROKE. That woman has no Freaking idea what BROKE IS? NONE? In sure do and millions of hard working Americans know what broke is.
How can she be running for president when she should be unqualified until all this underhanded stuff she and that varmet of a husband good ole boy Bill have done.He was worse than Trump in his fillanderings. Because he tarnished the White House and took advantage of a very young lady in that office. While Hillary was picking out the furniture and dishes she was going to take with her from the People’s House. She’s a thief , not a barower. She TOOK items from the White House that’s stealing. She’s corrupt. TRump might have faulted on bad business deals well so have I on a much smaller scale. Not Illegal, it’s write offs and if people don’t like it that why we have a congress to get laws amended and change things. TRump understands how to use the system leagaly. The Clintons are just down right liars and thieves and don’t seem to care . The scum rinses off their backs like a duck coming out of the water. I have no way to explain how they get away with it all. BUT I am dam tired of it, and those like them. Those of us that are not privileged, and don’t have what they have are not jealous of their life styles.. I was perfectly happy with our home and living on a dirt road with good neighbors and talking over the fences. It’s a good enough life. BUt people like Hillary Clinton have no concept of real hunger and not having enough for utility bills and medical. I would like to have a back surgery that’s around $15,000. And I would love to be able to have dental work done I need. But wishing will not get it done. I would never think about doing something I wanted or needed illegal to make it happen. Where is there sense of personal pride. They can’t be Christian , Jew or any other religion. THey worship POWER greed and MONEY.. That’s a ticket to hell. Not a place I wish to visit ever. So yes it’s the lesser of two evils. But it’s what we have to work with. IrbHillarybhasbworked so hard for children, then how can she even support the cruelty that is abortion. Ripping the unborn out of a woman’s womb. That is murder no other word for it.if you kill a pregnant woman in a car crash that’s your fault. You are charged with a double homicide. Now how can you have that both ways. You can’t , it’s murder. I knownyoungbwomenntryingbto have babies and they cry because they can’t conceive. Many people adopt because there aren’t enough new borns to adopt anymore. We need to help women who need an alternative to abortion. There is plenty of organizations that need funding that want to help women out of bad situations I know of some and I have helped some myself. We can’t go into history being known for such a great nation that we are, be remembered for killing innocent babies.snatching their little lives away before it begins. Babies that survive abortions are left to die with no help to breath or wrapped to keep them from gett hypothermia. What kind of nation have we become? That is just, it does not compute in my head. At least Mr. TRump has seen this is so wrong. No doubt he loves his children and he has provided for them and their mothers. So for me that is reason enough for my vote. But I think he will be the kind ofmPresident that truly wants to brings industry back to this country for the people. I truly believe that. I’m praying for all of us.I believe with all my heart if the Supreme Court and the federal judges that will be elected will for ever change our country into a socialist country, it will never get turned around. Never. Because there will be few people left that will remember what a Rebublic is. We will all be dead to tell the story. The history is being rewritten right now. It’s not even that it’s not true. The HISTORY of our nation has been altered because so much has been omitted in school books. I might not have a degree but I remember my history from school. Ask young people today and they say I’ve never heard that. 8 never heard that.its dam scary to me. We must save our constitution, and the knowledge our founding fathers left for us. We should have an American Flag made in AMerica in every classroom. Hanging outside every house. Not only on holidays but everyday. Kids graduating today in some parts of our country don’t know the pledge of allegiance, don’t know to stop at attention when the flag is being raised and retired at night.never leave a flag out in the rain or dark unless there is a light on it. I didn’t go to college to learn this. I learned this as a child. We did these things everyday. It imply takes ONE PERSON to start a movement. We always had a short prayer everyday in school. MADILINE MURRY O’HARE single handedly got prayer removed from schools. One person. She was a committed Atheist. The young are not being given the tools to protect themselves and to protect our way of life our freedoms that so many admire us for. They can’t work to defend what has made us great in America if they are never taught it to begin with. OUr conservative values are being lost everyday. HILLARY And the now democrats are so far left it’s almost unAmerican. That’s just how I see it. I apologize for ranting. But I’m so sick of all the corruption and allegations being thrown around the world about this great country. I love the United States of America. We were proud to hang our flag out everyday. We were great full for what we had meager though it was at times. We were still thankful for our lives our children’s lives and for their futures. I didn’t feel that way right now. I hope Trump gets elected and goes in the white house and cleans up a lot of the mess that the Obama administration will leave behind. I hope he gets a house and senate that will help him and not stay in the gridlock we’ve seen the last almost 8 years. Enough.MR. TRump and Pence must save us here at home and not OBAMAS legacy but the Legacy of these United States.more importantly save the country for the many who have fought and died for her, around the world for FREEDOM., I hope Jack and Wendy and Alan that I did understand and agreed with you. Cause it’s time to kick ass. Enough of the same ole political jargon that leads nowhere and gets nothing done. DOnald Trump is out there working his ass off and spending his own money for CHANGE. HIlliary has been in hiding since Sept. Before she was out where with the Hollywierd elites RAISING money not spending her own money. DOnald Trump has been putting his money where is mouth is… I praying for his election. He must takenPennsylvania I understand . So pray for those states he needs the electoral college votes if you don’t pray then have positive thoughts and vibes and picture those states.mindont know how that works so I don’t know how to say it. Not casting dispersions honest. Okay vote. I’m sending in my early ballot tomorrow. MAY the God or Higher Power you believe in Bless you and all whom you hold dear. Is that politically correct enough. Light humor here. I’m praying for Mr. TRump and Mike Pence. Gads I’m tired just watching and reading about this election. TRump is like the energizer bunny. He just keeps on going . Yahoo !!!!! Dam Im tired writing this.

Trump actually has a more sane foreign policy vis-a-vis Russia than Obama. All Obama wants to do is poke the bear into a corner over a Nazi coup we funded. The media is outright lying about Crimea, which was a free self-determination plebiscite, the same as Scotlands. Yet they persist in calling it an invasion.

Poking the nuclear bear in their own backyard, when we went nuts over Cuba, is Not a good idea. Trump says he’d deal with Putin. Obama just threatens and insults him. His foreign policy stinks.

Yes I agree on the Crimea. I have good friend from over there. She lives here now. What she has told me about even their health care is so unbelievable. Ludmila told me she understands what Freedom means now. She will never go back to Russia or see Crimea again.

        May 3, 2016 at 11:19 am #

From what I know of the definition of crony-capitalism it’s only considered that when the product or service is less than the best available. This would not be the case if the Trump organization won a contract because we all know his organization provides world-class products and services.

      • Ted Yost
        July 6, 2016 at 10:18 am #

The point Mr. Greenbaum, is that the politicians are for sale, everyone buys them. It is that part of the system that needs to be fixed. Term limits for Senators, and Congress would be an excellent place to start

We don’t need Term Limits, that’s what elections are for. Term limits would deprive us of great politicians we love to keep around. What we need is to get money out of politics. Reverse Citizens United. Support Move To Amend. Support Public Campaign financing. Demand Proportional Representation Voting. Pre register the entire population. Younger age voting. Open Debates for all parties. Make ALEC illegal.

Trump is not able to bring America back to your vision of where it should have been to begin with. Trumps entire select group of insiders are nothing more than cronies and wall street elites. He has changed nothing. It is as corrupt as ever in the White House. He is not going to break anyones backs Jack. He will be rendered ineffective within 6 months. He has split your party and the country. Has disgraced the office of the President and has ties to Russia. Are you an American Jack?

Here is a story for you to check on:

Why did Richard Blum – owner CRI – husband of Diane (different name for a reason) Feinstein (liberal Democrat Senator ( who also supports Sanctuary Cities – San Francisco ) get the non-bid exclusive contract for selling 56 Postal Properties (estimated worth – $19 Billion) deemed no longer needed. These properties bought by Taxpayer monies and owned by Postal Service.(which has lost $1197 in the last 10 Years). He will be paid commission from 2% to 6% and will potentially have a commission value of $950 million to $1.1 billion.
    Corruption at its best.

    • Terri Kirk
      October 5, 2015 at 1:52 pm #

Frank, you need to get your facts correct before posting. Here is a blurp from

It is true that Richard Blum has a financial relationship with the real estate firm contracted to sell United States Postal Service properties. However, this viral email gets some details — including the name of the real estate company — wrong.
In July 2011, the Postal Service entered into an exclusive contract with the real estate firm CB Richard Ellis Group Inc. (CBRE) to sell surplus Postal Service properties. Blum, Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s husband, is the chairman of the company’s board of directors. As a member of the board of directors, he received $157,000 in cash and stock awards from CBRE Group in 2012. His investment firm, Blum Capital Partners, L.P., is also the real estate firm’s fifth largest institutional shareholder. As of May 2013, it held more than 15 million shares worth an estimated $3 billion. However, this amounts to about 4.5 percent of CBRE Group’s total shares. CBRE Group is the largest commercial real estate firm in the world. Its Postal Service contract is responsible for a fraction of that revenue, and just a fraction of that fraction is passed on to shareholders.
The email suggests Feinstein — described as a “powerful U.S. Senator from San Francisco” — misused her office to secure a “sweet deal” for her husband. But there is no evidence of that.
Sue Brennan, a Postal Service spokeswoman, told us in an email that seven firms participated in a competitive bidding process. She said the Postal Service chose CBRE Group because it “was the contractor with the best overall organization, capability and experience.”
Feinstein’s spokesman, Brian Weiss, addressed questions about the contract in a February 2013 article in the San Francisco Chronicle:

Terri, Mr. Blum’s company was awarded a sweet deal for rebuilding some of Iraq’s infrastructure after being invaded. Coincidence? This real estate deal with the USPO might produce only a “fraction” of the company’s revenue, but a fraction of a fraction of multi-billions of dollars in real estate sales is still going to be a whopper of a dividend. The amount isn’t important; what matters is the fact that Blum repeatedly gets the inside scoop on big deals because his wife is one of the old cronies inside the beltway. That is not a coincidence.

Hello, Mrs. Attkisson – my name is Mike Gibbons. I’m a disabled/retired New York State Court Officer that was selectively persecuted just for requesting a transfer to a workplace closer to home after being diagnosed with major illnesses that eventually required major surgery. I was refused that lawful transfer, exasperating my already serious conditions, and that violates the Federal ADA which requires that an accommodation be granted and this should be looked into. I have coveted information about how the NYS Office of Court Administration takes it’s marching orders from a corrupt, Union President and local politician. A clear violation of AFL/CIO national and local rules. I can promise a ground shaking scandal within city/state politics with this information. Please consider helping me in my quest for justice. Thank you so much.

Excellent report this morning. As a Florida Gator and former long time resident of Longboat Key I take special pleasure in your success. One of your viewers suggested that you expose the incestuous relationships between doctors and big pharm. Working in positions that included Secretary of Florida HRS and Professor and Director of the FSU Institute of Health and Human Services Research I further suggest that you dig a little deeper to find the facilitators of the sordid public rip off. Check out the role of the Pharma lobbyists AKA bundlers. Look into their gifts to Universities and their affiliates. See how these power brokers place their friends on policy making board to influence outcomes. See how they act to stifle critical reports. Examine the use of reactions meds to define behavioral disorders. Check out the use of powerful reputable inhibitors with non FDA approved groups, eg children. Government approved MH we vices provide just enough money so the only MH function a provider can perform is to write a
Prescription. On the other hand, any pediatrician can prescribe a med , and often his own soup of powerful meds without my special trading. I remember Sharyl Attkisson as she worked in Tampa (big hair era). She was beautiful then and even more so now with her classic features; her terrific writing and reporting compliments her beauty-a dynamite combination. Sharyl is in a class by herself.

As a Veterans Widow since 1996 and Georgia Whistleblower since 2008 following 15 years of dedicated and “exceeds expectations” annual evaluations, I was terminated just 9 days following my submitting in writing my refusal to cross criminal, fiscal and ethical lines requested for three years by the college president. The evidence of malfeasance by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (a.k.a. “The Southern Mafia”) is confirmed in Depositions, Affidavits and Discovery documents and kept sealed from public view by Georgia’s State Attorney General Sam Olens who filed four “Responses in Opposition” to their release via lifting of Protective Orders. I have copies of all the sealed documents. I was told by a source, The Atlanta Journal “cannot touch my story.” Jeff Chirico, formerly with CBS Atlanta, brought his camera team to Macon and released one of many other investigative reports:

We commend you, Sharyl, and ask you to consider meeting with me, Sabrina Smith (Statewide Chairman of Georgia Watchdogs), et al. Three requests have been submitted to Georgia Governor Nathan Deal to appoint a Special Investigator given the “Conflict of Interest” by Attorney General Sam Olens. Governor Deal will not respond.

    GOD Bless.

Stonewalled was absolutly very well written. You gave me the courage and confidence to continue on with my personal investigation regarding mortgage fraud. I am a homeowner that Bank of America sent contractors into my home and made changes that I certainly was not made aware of. After investigating other homeowners in my township, I realized that I was NOT the only homeowner that was violated by breaking and entering into our homes without prior approval. Google Breaks Breaking into Houses or watch 99 Homes! We must come to agreement that the banksters STOP violating our privacy rights. Thanks Sharyl!

Wonderful show! You really need a full hour, exploding into a full hour 5 nights a week and a staff with your ethics and integrity helping with the research to get enough to fill such an ambitious goal!

Hi, Stonewalled is excellent as is your other work.
I have a popular online video show called Dark Journalist and I wonder if you would be available to come on and discuss your fascinating concept of “Astroturfing.” We could do the interview over Skype. Here is a recent episode with Former HUD Secretary Fitts dealing with false memes in the media:

I look forward to hearing from you! Thank you – Daniel

I can’t verbalize the extent to which I respect the Journalistic Ethics you displayed by quitting the CBS News Network due to its biased editorial positions. You have so many Journalistic awards that you know, of course, you’ll be swept off the market very quickly by a the type of network which reports, not edortalizes or ignores legitimate important stories, as well as for among the reasons mentioned above. It’s all about your employer not consistently trying to be part of the story rather than reporting it and letting us, the great unwashed, arrive at our own conclusions. You have a great career, the end of which is not even in sight. God bless.

Sharyl; Thank God for people like you. I am in the process of finisshing your book; paper edition and this morning went back to page 366 and your comments on whistle blowers that may have saved lives and how many were treated. This country is on the way to the trash can unless we make some major changes that reflect TRUTH. God bless,
    Thanks for the book…….

I wonder if you have seen this article regarding Benghazi emails to Hillary Clinton regarding the Saudis Financing the Benghazi attacks:

I don’t know how common it is but I’ve long stopped watching/listening to News. I prefer to read. Even with interviews I prefer the transcripts.

Making transcripts of your Full Measure episodes available – even weeks after – would be great.

Why does Hillary Clinton support my Human Rights Abuse?
In 8 years of writing not one Journalist or Gov member has ever contacted me or reported me. Hillary Clinton who does not have one idea better than mine continues to ignore my ideas. Why?

About 8 years ago in Sydney my life became a living Hell- without my consent or any warning. The ANZ Bank in Australia illegally evicted me from my homes without any notice – one home was only £3500 in arrears the other £7000. Who gets evicted for that small amount? All my poetry, my story Angel, my ideas, stories, songs and fashion designs and concepts were, I was told, stolen and copied and millions made out of them and me. The Australian Gov will not let me have my home, or 5 years of writing and all my possessions unless I go back to prove who I am. My business Sydney Boat Sales which I had operated for 12 years suddenly lost all its customers and all the boats were removed from my marina on Sydney Harbor. Now for the third time in 3 years I am being told I have to have my Mental Health assessed as I am considered to be a physical threat to David Cameron. How? With what? I live at home looking after my 87 year old mum.

This is what happens when we are being led by disfunctional people like the Clintons. They will break the laws and everyone else is the fall guy. The Clintons don’t set the standards to work for America because for a long time, they have looked out for themselves. They are weasels. Look at the reputation of UN Ambassador Rice and now Lynch, the Clintons ambushed their credentials. Is hillary really working to improve the working status of women? No!
Sharyl, you need to work for Fox and also write for the websites who want to hear the truth as well as for their readers. May your voice continue to be heard!!!!!

Although there is no doubt that Ms. Attkisson is an investigative reporter of the highest caliber and that her TEDx talk was insightful, it’s also glaringly apparent that she favors right wing politicians. Her interview with Trump was a exhibition of weak journalism absent of any substantial inquiry for which she is known. During the interview, Trump washes over a sweeping range of domestic and foreign policy issues that are so outlandish that they approached the absurd. Not once did Ms. Attkisson press Trump for specifics. For instance, when referring to Trumps comments on North Korea and our troops stationed there and his “plan” to remove them or have the South Korean’s pay for the costs, she didn’t follow up with what ramifications might result if the troops were pulled or if we, as a government set a a policy of “pay for play” military presence. Those troops are there for US security first and foremost. When she asked Trump to explain his comments on punishing women for getting an abortion, she accepted his wishy washy explanation without pressing him on whether “punishment” was even legal if abortion is legal. She accepted his glossed over explanation about his use of the word “punishment” was really equated with the stress that a woman endures during such a procedure. Truly pathetic. Her interview with Trump was clearly sympathetic to her personal political views and proves the point that if someone does not stand up to a person who makes repeated racist and bigoted statements, they are, themselves complicit with racism and bigotry. Ms. Attkisson’s show was also wrought with sound technical difficulties and points to a show that is being run by amateurs and speaks to her ineptitude within the political investigative arena. In short, her interview was sympathetic to Trump’s rise because, she did not demand specifics to what are truly frightening proposals for a Trump administration. Ms. Attkisson should stick to her strong suit of investigative reporting on the pharma industry and leave the serious political journalism to those that are not so blatantly biased in their political leanings. Her interview with Trump was a sad effort to kick start a show that is clearly DOA and destined to flounder in the lower depths of right wing internet, sub-par programming.

I am impressed enough that I will look for _Stonewalled_

But I am dropping this to note that I think some guys went with the 8th Air Force over Europe before your time, in aircraft like B-17s and B-24s. USAF Museum at Wright-Patterson in Dayton, OH would probably know.

Envy you getting to go in a B-52 and an F-15 though. Way too cool not to envy.

Sharyl – you left MSM to preserve your journalistic integrity. It puts you in a unique position of high respect by all people. Currently there is a complete blackout of news by MSM coming out of western Haiti in the wake of hurricane Matthew. Millionaire patriot Gary Heavin is flying in food, doctors, medics at his own expense in an effort to save as many people as he can. Hi Sharyl,

On your topic of the outrageous cost of college, you should research Grove City College in Pennsylvania. They do it right by holding down costs and giving students a clear picture of their expenses before they attend. At the same time, Grove City’s academics are second to none with a real 97% placement rate for graduates.

Thanks for the great investigative work.

    Dear Ms. Attkisson:

By chance I caught your story on TV about the variance in drug costs from pharmacy to pharmacy. I have to say I was somewhat shocked that you either are unaware or chose not to mention sites like “GoodRx” (web or app) that enable customers to find the lowest price in their city in – seriously – ten seconds! I would encourage you to download that app to see its utility and then, perhaps, follow up on your previous reporting.

    Thank you.
