The following is an excerpt from an article in The Atlantic.
...[A]fter weeks of escalating combat with the president—over Ukraine, and China, and Syria, and impeachment—the gentleman from Utah suddenly appears ready to unload...
To Romney, Trump’s performance as president is inextricably tangled up in his character. “Berating another person, or calling them names, or demeaning a class of people, not telling the truth—those are not private things,” he says, adding: “If during the campaign you pay a porn star $130,000, that now comes into the public domain.”...
In just the past few weeks, he has denounced the president’s attempts to solicit dirt on political rivals from foreign governments as “wrong and appalling”; suggested that his fellow Republicans are looking the other way out of a desire for power; and condemned Trump’s troop withdrawal in Syria as a “bloodstain on the annals of American history.”

Romney is a pox on the body politic. We at The Ole' Buzzard's blog here in Utah have spent considerable time making that point. Thank you for punctuating it!

Who died and made Mitt Romney king?
Apparently, Pierre Delecto .did.
More Romney sour grapes that he is not President. He had his chance when he had President Obama on the ropes in 2012. I supported Romney and attended a number of his and Ryan's campaign rallies. In West Chester, OH. They drew a great crowd on the Friday night before election ... they looked like a sure bet but then lost. I think he is bitter that an outsider to the "Swamp" won and has done rather well in turning our economy around. Why did Romney go back into politics after losing a Presidential election? Does he still think he can be President? If he continues to berate Trump his stock will be in the tank. He is a poor loser. Same goes for Ryan who did nothing as Speaker of the House to help a conservative agenda for fiscal responsibility and limited government. We need Trump to do the same.
Romney may be many things but, a dissident he is not.
I’m not particularly interested in what the mitt has to say about anyone, or anything; he’s a narcissist, in it only for himself.
I am embarrassed now to say I went door to door working for Romney / Ryan to be elected in 2012. They are both RINOs who are hypocrites. Neither one cares about the “little folks” but they also have enriched themselves while criticizing Trump at every turn. They make me sick.
