  1. I just read your book, “The Smear”. It was a very informative book, but I got the distinct impression that you tend to lean right. You provided so many examples of smears initiated by the left but very few if any by the right. You defended Trump like he was kin and didn’t really say anything negative about him. i.e. his is a proven pathological liar. he has screwed contractors out of being paid, etc. I know you are an award winning journalist and all but I think you tend to be a little biased against the left. Are you a republican?

    1. Fair enough. I am not a Republican nor a Democrat. I have voted in the past for Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. I’m probably more of a type of contrarian than anything (I tend to choose to write on topics and angles that many are not writing about; I don’t see the point of just echoing the prevailing narratives because there’s plenty of that to go around…I try to offer something different or original), but O was usually called a “leftie” in my journalism career, partly due to people’s assumptions and own biases, I believe. I differ a little with your assessment. The Smears against Trump were often perpetuated by the right, so discussion of Trump is not purely a left vs. right political issue. Nearly every smear artist I interviewed (left/right and nonpartisan) had something to say about Trump, as well, partly because of the timing of the book. I also mentioned and wrote about many corporate smears, government smear efforts and tactics (i.e. CIA, social media), conservative smear artists, smears against John Kerry, the Clintons, Hillary, Anita Hill…The book was not to say something negative or positive about anybody or talk about Trumps screwing contractors (that would be way off topic and if you already know all of that, those views have been reported widely and often almost everywhere…what would be the point of reading it again in my book? Just because you wish to hear it?) Thanks for your polite query.

    2. “Pathological” is a clinical term applied following a formal psychological evaluation. While there is a group of mental health professionals who are violating APA guidelines and standard practices by pronouncing diagnoses regarding President Trump’s mental health without having formally examined the president, I am aware of no formal psychological evaluation of President Trump that has resulted in a diagnosis of “pathological” liar. Therefore it has not been proved that President Trump is pathological liar.

    3. Why would Mr Rosen misrepresent Clinton’s Senate being Democratic?
The Senate, in fact had 45 Democratic senators. It just doesn’t give a forthright nature as to anything that may follow.

  2. I just listened to your excellent conversation with James Rosen.

Cheryl, from my perspective, it seems that the opposition to President Trump is motivated by something far more sinister than just ideological differences. These coordinated attacks are just too vicious, too rabid, and too contrived to make sense. There has to be more to this.

Please continue with your excellent investigative journalism.. Many of us out here in “flyover country” want to know the truth. My instincts tell me that there is something very significant out there that remains to be discovered.

    Best wishes

    1. “These coordinated attacks are just too vicious, too rabid, and too contrived to make sense. There has to be more to this.” Yes, there is. Trump was never supposed to win. With Hillary Clinton’s ascendency to the presidency, she was going to usher in what Barack Obama could not finish, namely the US subservient to a “One World Government.” Most of the establishment media, establishment government and bureaucracy, Hollywood, and the education establishment support these goals. There’s nothing like ruining the best laid plans to really get somebody on your bad side. Trump is all about America first.

As an aside, Mr Rosen made a comment in the podcast regarding Trump’s propriety and acting less than presidential. While he may have intended to exemplify that as a weakness, his supporters see it as a strength. This article by Evan Sayet pretty much lays it all out.

  3. I also listened to your conversation with James Rosen.

Instead of presenting a fair and balanced piece you concentrated on Adam Schiff and Joe Biden.

Guess what Mr. Rosen the Ukraine prosecutor was corrupt.

Former Obama administration officials and an anti-corruption advocate in Ukraine say the official, Viktor Shokin, was removed because he wasn’t doing enough to fight corruption in his country.

It wasn’t because Shokin was investigating a natural gas company tied to Biden’s son; it was because Shokin wasn’t pursuing corruption among the country’s politicians, according to a Ukrainian official and four former American officials who specialized in Ukraine and Europe.

Shokin’s inaction prompted international calls for his removal and ultimately the Ukraine parliament removed him.

Why doesn’t Rosen report do any in-depth research on Trump’s infamous phone call on July 25th?
You have the president abusing his power and jeopardizing our national security and doing so to get dirt on a political opponent.
On July 18th, Trump also withheld the White House meeting that Zelenskiy coveted, in addition to 400 million in military aid that was already approved by Congress.

I’ll sincerely listen if you fairly present both sides to this ongoing story.
    If not I’ll search elsewhere.

    1. Should the American people and Trump ignore the $83,000/month Hunter Biden received while a “board member” of the Ukrainian gas company that the “corrupt prosecutor” was investigating?

Keep in mind that Hunter could not communicate or understand the Ukrainian language spoken at board meetings, and had no knowledge of gas company business or gas extraction. His only benefit was that he had influence and direct access with the Vice President.

  4. James Rosen repeated an MSM lie when he said, “Trump told the four congresswomen, three of who are women of color, to go back to the country they came from and fix them.” The correct words of Trump’s tweet were, “Go back to the places they came from and fix them.”

“Places” can be congressional districts, which they should go back and fix. Sharyl, you should go to the actual tweet and research this yourself. And you should then not allow this lie to continue on your platform.

Thanks, Sharyl, and I do respect your efforts for truthful news without the loaded opinionated rhetoric.
