Physicians’ group sues Rep. Adam Schiff for censoring vaccine information

  • Rep. Schiff reportedly contacted Google, Facebook and Amazon
  • Rep. Schiff reportedly urged them to discredit certain vaccine safety information

The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) recently filed suit against U.S. Congressman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) for allegedly violating their free speech rights by pressuring big tech giants to remove information about vaccines from their websites.

The lawsuit says that Amazon, Twitter, and Facebook removed or obscured vaccine information that was previously readily available, at Schiff’s urging. Schiff reportedly claimed the information about vaccines is inaccurate. AAPS says the information is true.

AAPS argues in the lawsuit:

The First Amendment protects the rights of free speech and association. Included within the right of free speech is a right to receive information from willing speakers. Under the First Amendment, Americans have the right to hear all sides of every issue and to make their own judgments about those issues without government interference or limitations. Content-based restrictions on speech are presumptively unconstitutional, and courts analyze such restrictions under strict scrutiny

AAPS Executive Director Dr. Jane Orient stated:

The internet is supposed to provide free access to information to people of different opinions.

AAPS is not ‘anti-vaccine,’ but rather supports informed consent, based on an understanding of the full range of medical, legal, and economic considerations relevant to vaccination and any other medical intervention, which inevitably involves risks as well as benefits.

  1. Anybody really surprised that Schiff-for-brains is involved in this kind of sleazy behavior? I’m sure the pharmaceutical companies paid him to silence the doctors, he did what he was paid for, end of story. Clearly, from what we’ve seen over the last few years, there is nothing too low for Adam Schiff.

  2. :-/ . What is Schiff’s benefit to hiding vaccine information? It sounds like ani-vaxxing… or is this a typical Democrat with holdings in some rival vaccine?

  3. Schiff, like many Dems, is anti the U.S. Constitution so his stand really isn’t surprising. This needs to be more broadly publicized so that he can be shown for the hypocrite that he is and, hopefully, removed from office.

  4. Clearly a violation of free speech. The only exception would be if the information was factually incorrect and those who posted it knew it was factually incorrect. I haven’t seen the original post about vaccines that is the subject of the suit but it sounds as if the physicians surgeons were simply trying to keep the public more fully informed. This kind of pressure from an elected official should be brought to light .

  5. THIS BEING THE CASE . THEN WHY CANT MILLIONS OF AMERICANS SUE THE FED GOV FOR BLOCKING FROM (POT ).= FOR THE LAST 10 YEARS WE HAVE SEEN SO MANY WAYS IT HELPS IN THE MEDICAL FILED . IT HAS HELP MILLIONS FOR THE LAST 1000 YEARS . AND HAS NEVER KILLED ANYONE . AND SINCE WE KNOW THAT MONEY IN THE RIGHT HANDS IS WHAT KELP THIS FROM US ALL . WHY CANT THE FED GOV BE SUED BY ALL AMERICANS . OR AT LEAST 1 MILLION OF US THAT HAS KNOWN FOR OUR LIVES ( ME 70 ) THE GOV LIED

  6. Please be careful. I know you say you are fearless BUT so was Jennifer Jaynes. Your history, story, and boldness all remind me of her. I love your passion and willingness to put this out there just please protect yourself , take extra precautions and be safe out there, anyone with a platform like yours usually ends up mysteriously dead.
