The Justice Dept. cover up of its spying on me and others– continues.

The following is an excerpt of an article in American Thinker.

By Sharyl Attkisson

There has been a lot of water under the bridge since 2013 when CBS News first publicly announced the forensic evidence proving I was victimized by a long-term, remote effort to illegally spy on me and my CBS work through my computers. (You can watch the original news story at the link below):

A half dozen independent forensics exams later, with uninvited government IP addresses definitively identified as pathways into my computers, with forensic testimony from a former NSA specialist, with a sworn statement of confirmation from a former FBI Unit chief, and with a former federal agent confessing to being part of the government’s illegal spy operation against me and many other U.S. citizens,  it is reasonable to ask: Is the Department of Justice (DOJ)  alarmed by the shocking injustices and crimes? Is DOJ interested in holding accountable the federal agents who are responsible? Is DOJ concerned with making sure the activity has stopped and does not happen to others?

Apparently not.

Going on seven years now, the DOJ remains precisely where it started: in huddle down and cover up mode. Rather than acknowledge the forensic evidence and dig deeper to identify all of the agents who touched the illegal operation and all of the victimized Americans, and rather than being incensed by the confession of a former federal agent who admitting spying on me, DOJ has used unlimited taxpayer dollars to block pursuit of the facts.

In a just or fair system, the DOJ would  not have searched for legal excuses to dismiss the lawsuit I filed to bring the abuses to light… in fact, there would be no need for me to pursue a civil court case because the DOJ would have already prosecuted the guilty parties.

Yet here we are.

  1. I am appalled by the spying on citizens exercising their constitutional right of free speech. Shades of Communist China? Are we one step away from “re-education camps” for those who dare to express their views.? When the government exercises this enormous power in such an irresponsible, sinister way to monitor those it considers political dissidents or unfavorable to the administration our civil liberties are seriously at risk. I hope the architects of this abuse are fully exposed..

  2. Name withheld for fear of FBI retribution

    Excellent summary Sharyl
Chris Wray needs to be fired.

An independent Task Force made up of LE investigators from various State, City, and County, Police Departments needs to be commissioned to investigate the criminal conduct of the past and current FBI/Justice departments. A TF made up of cops from departments all over the country cannot be corrupted.

Why should I as a potential juror believe anything the FBI/Justice says, when they have been caught lying repeatedly, without consequence?

  3. You know full well that it leads right back to the 0bama WH and as such will likely never be properly investigated or anyone held accountable.
That’s just the reality of the situation, unfortunately.

  4. Um, maybe the DOJ believes that – despite your constant drumbeat of complaint – you don’t have a compelling case? Just sayin’

    1. Problem is they haven’t shown any interest in getting the facts of the case, only in avoiding the facts being presented to a jury. It would be odd for them to draw a conclusion about a case without bothering to investigate it or even interview the “victim,” which was their responsibility when CBS first announced the forensic proof originally. But you are free to think they are just honest brokers who somehow can read minds without looking at evidence and form rational conclusions.

      1. First and foremost, what was done to you and others is terrible and people should be in jail.

The problem is the word “responsibility”.

Someone would have to assume that terrible word! Imagine a billionaire who happens to be president and with all those personal and public powers, he can’t get basic due process.

With every right comes a societal responsibility. If you want free speech, you must also defend unpopular speech, and especially when you disagree with said speech.

        I wish you luck!
