POLL: Post-impeachment acquittal, political parties and Trump may work together on some issues

After President Trump was found not guilty of impeachment charges, our latest unscientific SharylAttkisson.com poll asked whether Democrats, Republicans and Trump will work together now.

A significant minority seem to believe they could collaborate on some issues.

But over half, 54%, said they do not expect the politicians to work together.

Will Ds Rs & Trump work together now?

>1% Yes

1% Mostly yes

54% No

42% Mostly no

2% Half and half

1% I don’t know/don’t care

  1. Of course there won’t be cooperation. Trump has decided to go full jihad, settling scores and pandering to his base. I’m a Democrat who voted for Hillary four years ago. But I voted for Reagan twice. So, consider me one of those “moderates.” (Hate the adjective because it’s very mushy but it is what it is.)

Every day I wake up, log onto the the internet and walk away depressed after reading Trump’s latest. His mentor, Roy Cohn, taught him well. You should check out this story. It’s just…incredible. So, no, nothing will get done because Trump has zero interest in moving forward and doing things in a bi-partisan fashion.

    1. As a Trump supporter I can say that you are wrong. Pres. Trump would work with the Dems if they were not so committed to obstructing everything he wants to do. Case in point: their fight against the wall. Reasonable people can disagree on the specifics, but there cannot be any reasonable opposition to national security. The open-borders people want massive illegal immigration, not bc of compassion but bc of the desire for more power and money…and the desire for a permanent national majority. ***** Pres. Trump is not pandering to his base. He is speaking to us instead of looking down on us. Given that he has been attacked 24/7/365 since taking office, he has a right to fight back…and he is good at it. He is a NYC street fighter. They don’t make them any tougher.

    2. “Trump has no interest in moving forward and working together”. Bless your heart! After what Pelosi did at the SOTU I would have thought that that would have been a wake up call for Dems in the middle. Guess I was wrong.

  2. One man’s ceiling is another man’s floor.

While we deplorable, happy and content Red-state Constitutionalists are flying high with Air Force One’s Daytona flyby, you sorry to say, are stuck down in the dank basement breathing stale TDS air.

Trump hasn’t gone full jihad – those were the illogical, lunatic-fringe impeachment ‘managers’ who couldn’t prep a lunch table for a party of two. Trump is busy right now with a banquet.

As far as hopping on the internet only to get depressed – it’s probably due to psychological trauma induced by MSM ‘analysts’ who promised you the truth, but who instead fed you tainted Kool-Aid. You might want to try reading recent FOIA request subpoenas, and FISA feedback, which depicts corruption at the deepest levels by your entrusted party…and their soon to be indicted participants.

There will certainly be cooperation. It will be between your deep-state felons and their prison jailers.

  3. WOW, you BAN a humorous benign opinion like mine, but let the rather specious and very questionable content in the hyperlink to the Washington Post, by commenter “john caddidy” (above) pass, and then you also allow him to spout opinionated drivel usually found on biased MSNBC and CNN, such as: “Trump has decided to go full jihad, settling scores and pandering to his base..”.(and)…”So, no, nothing will get done because Trump has zero interest in moving forward and doing things in a bi-partisan fashion.”

If I were an anti-Trump, bigoted, misogynistic, homophobe white supremacist, would you accept my comment? Apparently, you don’t want or need tongue-in-cheek comments by conservatives.
