Graphic: Daily Trump approval compared to Obama

Here are some interesting graphics and stats from Rasmussen Reports.

According to the polling company: Now that Gallup has quit the field, Rasmussen Reports is the only nationally recognized public opinion firm that still tracks President Trump’s job approval ratings on a daily basis.

This graphic compares Obama and Trump approval at relative, similar time periods. (Obama: blue line. Trump: green line.)

This graphic shows President Trump’s disapprove/approve were best around the January 2020 time frame just before the coronavirus outbreak in the U.S.

  1. Thanks Sharyl, for the comparison. The unstated message is just how active liberal-leaning news folks are who favor bad news about Trump, and seem to have modeled their business model with the intent to inflame partisan outrage.
My memory doesn’t recall if Obama was treated so poorly.

    1. He wasn’t. I can recall that the press, in general, stopped just short of claiming that obama could walk on water.

    2. LOL.

My, my, what a snowflake. Well, since your memory is foggy, there’s this thing called…Google. Try it sometime. If you use it correctly, you’ll find lovely little stories, such as the Birther Conspiracy or the Secret Muslim meme, or the “outrage of Obama’s tan suit” or the other “outrage where he bowed his head to the Saudi king” or – oh for Pete’s sake. The great rightwing/ Fox drumbeat of Crazy pounded loud and 24/7 from the day Obama was sworn in.

Instead of whining, look more carefully at the man you worship. It’s little wonder that he’s held in low esteem by a majority of Americans

      1. “the Birther Conspiracy or the Secret Muslim meme, or the “outrage of Obama’s tan suit” or the other “outrage where he bowed his head to the Saudi king”

None of which was taken seriously by the MSM, the public or the elected Republicans.

Democrats are the only people I’ve heard going on about ‘the tan suit.’

I’m sure you can Google some stories, but that only proves the MSM’s losing their minds over anything negative about the Democrats’ God Obama. Talk about cults, look at how the press bowed and scraped before him, even though Obama’s was an utterly wasted presidency.

But Dems love feeling put-upon, so you pretend Obama was the victim of anything approaching the lies and hate Trump’s dealt with for four years, none of which have touched him or dampened his happy warriors who love America.

  2. Not a day has gone by since Donald Trump announced his candidacy that there hasn’t been total disdain for this man by the MSM. He’s a better man than I ( Gunga Din) being able to withstand the non-stop scrutiny, criticism and downright lies about every thing he does, including how he holds a glass of water or walks down the stairs. BTW, in case I’m the only one who’s noticed that the President pays careful attention to stairs, ascending or descending. Watch him climbing up/or coming down the stairs to Air Force One. And well he should. If he falls and breaks his hip it is a life-threatening injury to a person of his age. So good for him for being cautious with his body.

    1. After Hillary’s performance walking on and off planes and into cars, Trump is wise to allow a hostile press an opportunity for a negative photo or news clip.

  3. President Trump is not what he seems. He seems like a poor communicator. He seems brash and arrogant. He seems impish and impulsive. He seems simple minded. He is in fact, subtle, measured, empathetic and alert. He is extremely concerned about his job performance and the fulfilling of his promises. I feel for him at this awful moment, beset by so many forces I believe he could very well be thwarted. That said, instead of a gigantic, centralized government that pincers the people we vote in between hostile interests, I would rather humans got themselves together and stepped up to the task of running society from the ground up on trust, conscientiousness and discipline. Anyone?
