Public opinion is split on what to do about CHAZ

A near equal number of people think CHAZ should be stormed “by force if necessary” as believe “utilities should be cut off.”

That’s according to the latest unscientific poll of more than 1,500 people at SharylAtttkisson.com.

Forty-three percent (43%) approve of using force to reclaim the public space claimed by protesters.

Forty-one percent (41%) favor cutting off utilities, instead.

Ten percent (10%) say we should do nothing.

What should be done about CHAZ?

43% Take by force if necessary

10% Nothing

41% Cut off utilities

5% Something else

1% What’s CHAZ?

  1. Anna Burroughs-Merrill

This headline is misleading. A more accurate headline would be “84% of People Think Chaz Should be Driven Out of Seattle, but Disagree on Whether to Use Force or Non-Force Measures.”

  2. CHAZ will self-destruct and there will be no one to blame (especially not Trump) but themselves. Let’s just sit back and watch the show. It will be entertaining and instructive.

  3. The ten percent are right. Let CHAZ stew in its own juice, as it inevitably falls into chaos swarming with criminals and psychos, until residents cry out for help. Then come to the rescue of th residents. Attacking CHAZ, or cutting off its utilities, are just what the left wants, the better to make heroes and martyrs out of what amounts to a left wing rabble..

    1. Couldn’t agree more, Harold. I voted “do nothing” as history shows blockading any locale ultimately defeats those within without a shot being fired and ultimate disgrace surfaces for those criminals who couldn’t even cooperate on a “plan” to extradite themselves from their own man made mess. Helping with cutting utilities a good second choice, but may embolden those “mutts” inside to make a desperate move ! No – let them stew in their own swamp, no food, no thin’. No rescues – jail for the “leaders – a bath and a meal for the stupid sheep who followed !

  4. The MSM makes it look like a bunch of Kindergarteners finger painting every available surface with a Science experiment community garden. Meanwhile tourists are strolling around being handed free stuff. Fox news shows armed psychopaths standing around waiting for something to happen that they can pounce upon. Which is it? The real victims are the residents and small business owners who are eerily silent. It’s unfathomable that not one person who resides there has come forward to say something, not even for the sheer notoriety of being seen on national TV. So there’s that. And I totally disagree with the decision of the Police Precinct not taking their building back. It’s one thing to split in the the face of the overwhelming bunch of lunatics attacking them. I get it. But to acquiesce and allow them to keep it is a bad idea.
