If this case comes to trial it will be a VERY long time before a trial starts. One of the main problems will be to pick a jury who does not have a preconceived decession on guilt or innocense. This surly will start another round of demonstrations. Demonstrations only for the purpose of looting and distruction.

The problem with this analysis is that Officer Chauvin is no longer being charged with killing Floyd. The charge is felony murder. That is a death occurring in the course of a felony is chargeable to all of the perpetrators of the felony, regardless of whether all or any of these perpetrators caused the death. For example: two men attempt to rob a liquor store. One is armed. Hence the felony of armed robbery. The clerk pulls a gun and kills the armed perpetrator. Although the unarmed perpetrator killed nobody. He or she is chargeable with felony murder. Don’t believe me? Check it out. In the case at hand, Chauvin is charged with felony murder, that is that Floyd died during the commission of a felony: aggravated assault by use of excessive force. It doesn’t matter what the mechanism of death was so long as it was during the course of and related to the felonious assault. The other three officers are charged with aiding and abetting. It is a mystery to me how one abets felony murder. Those other officers should be equally chargeable with murder if they participated in the assault.
“Felony murder” charges require that a felony was committed. Same difference.
I know this is a foolish question, but where are the congressmen and women (Democrats) right now? These protesters are demanding legislative changes, thousands of them in DC and around the country. Where’s NANCY PELOSI and legislative branch of our government? When are they going to show up on the job? They make the laws right? These protests are in vain because PELOSI and Her bunch of “lawmakers” aren’t even there. The Capitol Building is empty. BUT NO ONE EVEN ASKS ABOUT THEM? It doesn’t make sense to me….Covid 19 is no longer a legitimate excuse to shirk their responsibilities. WHY IS NO ONE CALLING OUT FOR THEM TO LISTEN?
I suspect that there is more to this story than we known. I agree that Chauvin’s actions were wrong and he should be brought to justice. What I find troubling though is the fact that Floyd has been made out to be some kind of martyr because the truth about him has not been fully revealed. The guy had a long, criminal record. He once held a gun to the belly of a pregnant, black woman while his buddies robbed her house.
