Almost nobody votes for a candidate based on the candidate's race and/or gender.
That's according to the latest unscientific poll of nearly 2,000 people at SharylAttkisson.com.
Ninety-nine percent (99%) say neither a candidate's race nor gender is the reason they select that person.
I vote for candidates based on their:
<1% Race and Gender

Thank you for what you do.. It is hard to know whetherit will be a positive or a negative without more information. I think most people have made up their mind already. Unfortunately people don't do their own research. If you're a hater youre a hater. To many people dont put enough thought into what their philosophy is or what the issues are. We have taken our freedom for granted for to long. I fear someday we will lose it.

Interesting, but I would rather know why the polls are consistently wrong about Trump and how do polsters get away with slanting the results? Seems like those phony results can sway an election and should be banned or illegal.
I don't believe the results of this poll. People bragged about voting for Obama because he was black. Many wanted a woman as President so they voted for Hillary. The results reflect what should be, but it is most unlikely they reflect what is true. I wish they were true, but common sense and ecperience tells me different.

Wow. I am not sure if you poll thinking is correct. I have lived in STL for 50 years and my dad was a politician, and the city is divided to 50 -50, are close to it. IF there is a city wide race in the last 50 years, it seemed that the blacks voted for the blacks(for the most part) and the whites voted for the whites. I just dont think your poll actually depicts what people do in the booth.

It seems to me that we are at a crossroad...be careful which road you take. Socialism/Communism with Biden, or Capitalism/Liberty with Trump. May God bless America and protect our first responders and our President. You have the choice!

She said it was an unscientific poll. Not a sampling of Republicans, Democrats, etc. This is probably true how people in their right minds think, but that's not everyone.

Ms Attkisson, you are an honest journalist and a patriot. You stand like a beacon of hope in the toxic, corrupt sea of media insanity. So many have drowned and become media zombies that we the people no longer accept the press as credible. To say the least. You and Lara Logan should have your own one hour Fox show everyday at 4:00 PM.
WOW! If only it were true. I think most people vote down party lines, D4D/R4R without bothering to research the "content of one's character", so we end up with a whole bunch sinister people on both sides running our government. It's like a free for all sometimes to see who can be the lowest life form in Congress/the Senate. And life goes on.
