10 points addressing why you don’t “have to have hard evidence” before making voter fraud allegations

The following is a news analysis.

It’s confusing to hear reporters & others claim “You have to have hard evidence before you make accusations” about improprieties in the 2020 election.

That’s untrue. Here are ten relevant points.

  1. Accusations are made all the time, spurring investigations that may or may not turn up hard evidence.
  2. Evidence doesn’t walk up, knock on your door, and present itself.
  3. Those guilty of malfeasance or crimes tend to try to hide their acts.
  4. Some evidence can only be gathered if the accusers are granted access to it.
  5. Lack of evidence in hand is not proof that no crime occurred.
  6. It’s reasonable and important to ask the questions and investigate.
  7. Claiming it’s irrational to even ask the question only generates more suspicion.
  8. Fraud doesn’t have to be “widespread” to make a difference.
  9. Those who claim there was “no fraud” are making that statement without evidence. It’s impossible for anyone to know.
  10. Ultimately, if no convincing evidence is presented, no charges will be filed and the question will have been answered.

There was a time not long ago when reporters would search for evidence, firsthand, rather than demand someone give it to them.

There’s no dispute there were, at the very least, errors involving many thousands of ballots in the 2020 race.

Considering the facts that have been revealed over the past four years, it would be irrational not to ask questions and suspect that bad actors would continue to do all they can to negatively impact President Trump.

Thorough investigations will presumably flag improprieties, if any occurred, by either side.

It is not wrong for both sides to fight for every legal vote. Allowing the process to be thoroughly fleshed out, rather than villainizing those who are asking questions, will allow for greater confidence in the final result during a very divisive time.

  1. Every ballot should have been checked by paries from both side that would help stop a lot of the rampant fraud that may well be going on right now. Especially, but not limited to PA.
It beggars belief that Republicans have taken so Many house seats and the senate likely to remain in their hands that President Trump would not also win most of those states also. Stunning!

    1. The so called ‘journalists’ questions are framed with the no-evidence of election fraud statement to give the uninformed the impression there is no evidence. Somehow the ‘journalists’ all got the same memo to ask questions and be sure to include the no-evidence statement. Even here in Canada our ‘journalists’ got this memo.

  2. Do you think the moderators ever read “Candide?” Took a Civics class or know who John Stuart Mill was?
This censorship crap has got to stop immediately.

  3. The Dems have been claiming that Trump stole the 2016 election for FOUR YEARS, and they still have no evidence, nor does the media demand that they provide any. Just a few days ago, Hillary Clinton once again repeated the claim that Trump stole the election from her, and no one in the media chastised her for repeating an “unsubstantiated” or “debunked” claim, and no social media giant censored her claim.

As for the current situation, I can’t add anything to the excellent points that Sharyl made.

  4. You said, “Those who claim there was “no fraud” are making that statement without evidence. It’s impossible for anyone to know.

I say, Those who are making accusations, are also making a statement without evidence!

I have no problems with asking questions but without evidence the Courts will say “Show us your evidence” that there was fraud.

    Put up or shut up!

  5. Basically, “Throw everything up against the wall and see if any of it sticks.” That’s not a strategy, it’s sour grapes from losers.

  6. It was Russian interference clearly leading to a fraudulent result in 2016. In 2020? No interference from anyone. At all. None whatsoever. Absolutely zero evidence of any fraudulent activity. The NY Times says so.

  7. Thank you, Sharyl, for your objective analysis and comments. It is frustrating, to say the least, to hear prominent cable prime time/morning anchors claim ‘if there’s systemic fraud, evidence must be presented…and I haven’t seen this’. As if they are privy to all information.

You are a breath of fresh air. Thanks again.

  8. There’s plenty of hard evidence of cheating; the only question is exactly how much. I myself went to the MI voter information site Friday AM, entered a dead guy’s name, DOB, and last zip code, and got the dates a ballot was sent & received in his name, just like this:
    https://twitter.com/fleccas/status/1324216584219623424

At about 10:30AM Friday the MI crooks caught on, and the website stopped working.

  9. Those making the ridiculous statement that “you need hard evidence to claim voter fraud” spent the last 4 years saying:

    “RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA”

  10. Accusations are made all the time, spurring investigations that may or may not turn up hard evidence.

Awesome analysis. So let’s see Trump’s tax returns. And his DNA sample. Because:

Bet you won’t post this. FCC Section 230 works both ways you know.

    1. Have patience, all will be revealed. Then we all shall know the pure truth. Are you certain about wanting to know? Could shatter your expectations…

  11. The funny part is that the overwhelming majority of the presidents allegations fact check to be false. I loved Heywood Jablowme’s mention of sexual harassment. The president famously talked about grabbing a woman’s private parts on video and like this was something we should admire. His own wife won’t hold his hand, also on video multiple places. He is also on record saying that he could murder someone on 5th avenue in broad daylight an get away with it. He hates immigrants, the backbone and grist of this country, takes the advice of monsters like Miller and separates thousands of children from their parents alledging ridiculous claims of criminality of immigrants. Sooo glad that secretaries of state and federal judges stood up to oppose this guy. Our system is rigged, so true, rigged in favor of corporations, and those that buy influence. If you want to be outraged, please do so against the true perpetrators who laugh at the common person while courting their votes and alledging fraud.

  12. We dropped the ball, throwing fits and useless accusations only shows our empty hand. We all knew they were going to try whatever tricks they could to cheat, but we voted with confidence that someone had to be making sure our votes were counted right. Nope.. We failed. They won. Don’t get mad, get even.

  13. This election was textbook Chicago-style rigging. Look at Kamala Harris’s history with her California AG “election” where Obama turned up and the two camped out in LA. It was a shocking precursor to what’s gone on/going on now in urban PA, NC, GA, MI, WI, NV and AZ:

    https://www.scpr.org/news/2010/11/25/21254/harris-worked-hard-la-county-beat-cooley-attorney-/

Harris’s AG race was fixed with help from “community organizer” Obama. Harris’s Republican opponent, Cooley, was in lead throughout the race, had all the law enforcement endorsements, appeared to have won on election night (Nov 2), then after three weeks of counting mail-in and provisional ballots, with lots of shady stuff reported in the counting, Harris was declared the winner on Nov 24.

    Past is prologue.

The real reason the Biden-Harris campaigners didn’t bother to stomp wasn’t Covid-19, they knew it was more important to run ballot harvesting operations. It worked.

  14. Until all the votes are counted and certified the only Pres. is Donald J. Trump.
Regardless of the Media moguls would like you to believe. If the evidence of fraud
generates enough votes back to Trump, then its over without the courts intervening.
The courts/Judicial branch does not elect presidents either, its the individual States, and
    their electoral votes that decide.
The courts can only invalidate the fraudulent votes and/ or prosecute those committing the fraud.
The decision can go all the way thru the month of December.
I pray fro our President, this is a true test of faith, but not in any man or system……

    God.
