I have photos, names, documentation, of the Spanky Gang that have served this country for decades!! A much deserved moment now at my age to share history from the underdog community of the US NAVY SEABEES!! Our community never received credit for impossible feats that no other communities of the US Military could handle!! !! I represent all my fellow BEES! Including the man that made me! His name is David Nash! He was my Ops Officer when I first signed on.in the late 70's, shortly after the Vietnam War. Many years later, he was my Commanding Officer of NMCB-1. The only, Commanding Officer of my 20+ career that knew most of his troops from E1 to E6.by name, the wives, the children's names. And always asked the bottom how we felt, and how to make things better- with no repercussion's to us He is working on Green issues now! I wish I could be a part of his success!
