A current Centers for Disease Control (CDC) senior scientist has made an unprecedented admission: he and his colleagues–he says– committed scientific misconduct to cover up a meaningful link between vaccines and autism in black boys.
Just as startling, the CDC scientist, Dr. William Thompson, says the study co-authors “scheduled a meeting to destroy documents related to the study. The remaining four co-authors all met and brought a big garbage can into the meeting room, and reviewed and went through all the hardcopy documents that we had thought we should discard, and put them into a huge garbage can.”

Despite this whistleblower testimony, which Dr. Thompson provided to Rep. Bill Posey, R-Florida, there is little chance of a meaningful hearing or investigation.
In an untainted news environment, the allegations would make headlines in most legitimate publications and would trigger federal inquiries. However, the interests of the powerful pharmaceutical industry reach deeply into Congress and the news media through lobbyists, propaganda and advertising dollars.

That’s why Congressman Posey resorted to simply reading some of Dr. Thompson’s statement today on the House floor…including the part in which Dr. Thompson says he retained the evidence that had been thrown in the garbage can, in the unlikely event that a neutral investigative or scientific body would like to see it today.
“[B]ecause I assumed it was illegal and would violate both FOIA [Freedom of Information Act] and DOJ [Department of Justice] requests, I kept hardcopies of all documents in my office, and I retain all associated computer files,” Posey quotes Dr. Thompson as reporting.
The CDC and Thompson’s co-author Dr. Frank DeStefano, CDC Director of Immunization Safety, have defended the controversial study as originally published. Dr. DeStefano explains why here in detail.
One final note: Rep. Posey unequivocally states that he is pro-vaccine. However, the propaganda campaign typically falsely portrays anyone who addresses vaccine safety issues as “anti-vaccine.”

“I rise today on matters of scientific integrity and research. To begin with, I am absolutely, resolutely, pro-vaccine. Advancements in medical immunization have saved countless and greatly benefitted public health. That being said, it’s troubling to me that in a recent Senate hearing on childhood vaccinations, it was never mentioned that our government has paid out over $3 billion through a vaccine injury compensation program for children who have been injured by vaccinations.
“Regardless of the subject matter, parents making decisions about their children’s health deserve to have the best information available to them. They should be able to count on federal agencies to tell them the truth. For these reasons, I bring the following matter to the House floor.
“In August 2014, Dr. William Thompson, a senior scientist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, worked with a whistleblower attorney to provide my office with documents related to a 2004 CDC study that examined the possibility of a relationship between [the] mumps, measles, rubella vaccine and autism. In a statement released in August, 2014, Dr. Thompson stated, ‘I regret that my co-authors and I omitted statistically significant information in our 2004 article published in the journal Pediatrics.’
“Mr. Speaker, I respectfully request the following excepts from the statement written by Dr. Thompson be entered into the record.
“Now quoting Dr. Thompson.
“‘My primary job duties while working in the immunization safety branch from 2000 to 2006, were to later co-lead three major vaccine safety studies. The MADDSP, MMR autism cases control study was being carried out in response to the Wakefield-Lancet study that suggested an association between the MMR vaccine and an autism-like health outcome. There were several major concerns among scientists and consumer advocates outside the CDC in the fall of 2000, regarding the execution of the Verstraeten Study. One of the important goals that was determined up front, in the spring of 2001, before any of these studies started, was to have all three protocols vetted outside the CDC prior to the start of the analyses so consumer advocates could not claim that we were presenting analyses that suited our own goals and biases. We hypothesized that if we found statistically significant effects at either 18 or 36 month thresholds, we would conclude that vaccinating children early with MMR vaccine could lead to autism-like characteristics or features. We all met and finalized the study protocol and analysis plan. The goal was to not deviate from the analysis plan to avoid the debacle that occurred with the Verstraeten thimerosal study published in Pediatrics in 2003.
‘At the Sept 5th meeting we discussed in detail how to code race for both the sample and the birth certificate sample. At the bottom of table 7, it also shows that for the non-birth certificate sample, the adjusted race effect statistical significance was huge.
‘All the authors and I met and decided sometime between August and September 2002, not to report any race effects from the paper. Sometime soon after the meeting, we decided to exclude reporting any race effects. The co-authors scheduled a meeting to destroy documents related to the study. The remaining four co-authors all met and brought a big garbage can into the meeting room, and reviewed and went through all the hardcopy documents that we had thought we should discard, and put them into a huge garbage can. However, because I assumed it was illegal and would violate both FOIA and DOJ requests, I kept hardcopies of all documents in my office, and I retain all associated computer files. I believe we intentionally withheld controversial findings from the final draft of the Pediatrics paper.’
“Mr. Speaker, I believe it is our duty to insure that the documents that Dr. Thompson are not ignored. Therefore I will provide them to members of Congress and the House Committees upon request. Considering the nature of the whistleblower’s documents as well as the involvement of the CDC, a hearing and a thorough investigation is warranted.
“So I ask, Mr. Speaker, I beg, I implore my colleagues on the appropriations committees to please, please take such action.”

I understand the reason children under 12 months or so do not generally have measles vaccination is because they are likely to have passive immunity from their mothers, i.e. maternally derived antibodies.
The CDC MMWR report I quoted earlier notes: “Twelve of the unvaccinated patients were infants too young to be vaccinated.”(1)
So it seems likely that these 12 patients were vulnerable in the tricky period when maternally derived antibodies wane, before vaccination around 12-15 months.
It appears to me there is much uncertainty about the duration of maternally derived antibodies, and optimum timing for vaccination. This is likely to vary between individuals and depend upon factors such as whether the mother was vaccinated or unvaccinated, and breast-feeding. (I don’t claim to have any expertise in this area, but I’m interested to learn more about the effect and duration of maternally derived antibodies, for both humans and animals.)
See for example Waaijenborg et al: “…Infants typically receive the first dose of vaccine around the first year of age. Maternally derived antibodies provide the primary protection for infants prior to this first vaccine dose. The initial concentration of maternal antibodies in a newborn is highly correlated with the antibody concentration in the mother. Subsequently, there is waning of the maternal antibody levels in the infant, leaving the child susceptible to infections. Optimal timing of the first dose of vaccine can contribute to keeping this period as short as possible. This is important because, among European infants aged <1 year, measles risk and severity are greater than the risk and severity among those aged ≥ 1 year. The optimal timing of the first MMR vaccine dose depends on 2 main factors. First, the infant’s immune system should be sufficiently mature to respond to the vaccine antigens. Second, levels of maternal antibodies must be low enough to ensure that they do not neutralize the live, attenuated strains in the vaccine. Insight in the kinetics and determinants of maternal antibody concentrations is therefore very important.”(2)
In the CDC MMWR measles outbreak report it’s also interesting to note that: “Patients range in age from 6 weeks to 70 years…” It would be useful to have more information on the cases at the extremes of the age range, e.g. why wasn’t a 6 week old baby protected by passive immunity, and why did a 70 year old (whom one might presume would be immune) succumb to measles, and how badly were these individuals affected?

In regards to the highly publicised measles outbreak in California, the CDC reports:
“Among the 110 California patients, 49 (45%) were unvaccinated; five (5%) had 1 dose of measles-containing vaccine, seven (6%) had 2 doses, one (1%) had 3 doses, 47 (43%) had unknown or undocumented vaccination status, and one (1%) had immunoglobulin G seropositivity documented, which indicates prior vaccination or measles infection at an undetermined time. Twelve of the unvaccinated patients were infants too young to be vaccinated. Among the 37 remaining vaccine-eligible patients, 28 (67%) were intentionally unvaccinated because of personal beliefs, and one was on an alternative plan for vaccination. Among the 28 intentionally unvaccinated patients, 18 were children (aged <18 years), and 10 were adults. Patients range in age from 6 weeks to 70 years; the median age is 22 years. Among the 84 patients with known hospitalization status, 17 (20%) were hospitalized.”(1)
So 13 people vaccinated with a measles-containing vaccine came down with measles. (And there may have been more in the group of unknown or undocumented vaccination status.)
It appears two doses of measles vaccine, or even three, does not guarantee immunity for all. It would be interesting to know more about the people who had multiple doses of measles vaccine, e.g. how old they are, exactly how old they were when they were vaccinated, and what brand of vaccine was used (presumably Merck M-M-R II if they were born in the US).
I’d also be interested to know how the 10 unvaccinated adults fared, as I understand the effects of measles can be more serious in older individuals; and some details of the deleterious effects that resulted in at least 17 people being hospitalized.

Re the Antibody Titer Law (Holly’s Law) re measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccination, referred to in my first comment.
This law was passed in 2004 in response to the death of five year old Holly Marie Stavola who died of encephalopathy which she developed seven days after receiving her second dose of MMR vaccine. Holly’s family campaigned for this law, wishing they had known about the option of the antibody titre test before Holly’s arbitrary revaccination with the second dose of live MMR vaccine.

Another point about this is the fact they paid 3 BILLION dollars out to the victims of these injections over the past 20 years. That works out to be $150,000,000.00 a year to claims that had gone through. A few weeks ago I was reading on the web site that contains the information to file a claim for damages, there is a strict rule they have and that if your child is damaged mentally from the vaccines you have to have (basically) proof of your child being normal before it was injected. By means of a doctors full examination in writing stating there isn’t anything wrong with the kid BEFORE the injections. Otherwise your SOL trying to get financial help from the one’s who caused the damage. They will say it’s GENETIC! hands down every time!

Congressman Bill Posey’s office has confirmed exclusively to Benswann.com that a “very large number” of documents have been turned over by CDC scientist, Dr. William Thompson, who has admitted that the CDC suppressed information about the links between the MMR vaccine and autism in some cases.
According to Congressman Posey’s spokesman, George Cecala, “I can confirm that we have received a very large number of documents and we are going through those documents now. There are a lot of them, so it will take some time.” Cecala could not say exactly how many documents are in possession of the Congressman’s staff though sources tell me that as many as 100,000 documents have been handed over.

You’re correct about the lack of media coverage. That’s why it’s important that every person who post on a comment board about vaccines has to post in their comment the statement made by Dr. Thompson on how the CDC scheduled a day to destroy evidence. Just like the media ignored the original statement of Thompson’s last year it still went viral and so will this. However, there is power in numbers to some degree and if everyone post this information than the word will get out. Social media is used for more than just chit chat and passing around pictures. Flip the switch and use it the same way big pharma and the government has been using it for years—as a weapon, but as a weapon of mass enlightenment of truth.
There is a good (recent) article on Natural News (dot) com that discusses the connection between autism and vaccines, but also the connection between cancer and vaccines. The article is very unsettling.

Why is it so difficult to consider that a drug may not be 100% safe for anyone, especially infants with developing autoimmune and neurological systems? There is no one size fits all date when benefits outweigh risks. To discard data that does not fit your social and political agenda because it is good for 99% of society is criminal to the other 1% and their families. If this is true, what else has CDC “socially engineered” through misleading data?
Same as wearing masks is not safe for everyone. I don’t wear masks because of medical issues but I can’t convince owners of certain area stores and businesses. They say “It’s store policy.” I wonder if it were store policy for customers to go to the roof and jump off in order to be admitted to the stores? If they survived the jump they could shop there.

I can relate. My daughter is a nurse and hopefully a parent someday. She’s all in on vaccinations and thinks I’m crazy too. I warned her not to get the covid vax and she got it anyway. I’m so afraid for her and my future grandchildren. My niece has 4 kids, two of them vaccinated and the two youngest are not. The two oldest have severe autism. It’s so sad.
Terry, I am a semi retired nurse with lots of time to research this. I was sick to learn my daughter in law received the vaccine (she works with special needs children and felt it necessary, ) but so far my 2 children have not, although my daughter says if I keep sending her info, she might. Typical kid, huh. I feel for you and hope that maybe some of what we read is hype (not) or that future vaccines will be the cause of the major problems. What a sad world we live in.

Many people are in the same situation. With the help and ignorance of the media, and with assistance from CDC and other public health officials, pharmaceutical industry interests have effectively made it where simply discussing vaccine safety studies and issues — even if you are a peer reviewed, published researcher, is controversial and falsely labelled “anti-vaccine.”

I believed you then, and thankfully protected my five sons from the potential harm that the CDC has offered mothers and families. I know that they (everyone, the medical community etc.) have dragged your name through the mud, but to me- you’re a hero! I am so very grateful to you for your courage and your sacrifice!
