A current Centers for Disease Control (CDC) senior scientist has made an unprecedented admission: he and his colleagues–he says– committed scientific misconduct to cover up a meaningful link between vaccines and autism in black boys.
Just as startling, the CDC scientist, Dr. William Thompson, says the study co-authors “scheduled a meeting to destroy documents related to the study. The remaining four co-authors all met and brought a big garbage can into the meeting room, and reviewed and went through all the hardcopy documents that we had thought we should discard, and put them into a huge garbage can.”

Despite this whistleblower testimony, which Dr. Thompson provided to Rep. Bill Posey, R-Florida, there is little chance of a meaningful hearing or investigation.
In an untainted news environment, the allegations would make headlines in most legitimate publications and would trigger federal inquiries. However, the interests of the powerful pharmaceutical industry reach deeply into Congress and the news media through lobbyists, propaganda and advertising dollars.

That’s why Congressman Posey resorted to simply reading some of Dr. Thompson’s statement today on the House floor…including the part in which Dr. Thompson says he retained the evidence that had been thrown in the garbage can, in the unlikely event that a neutral investigative or scientific body would like to see it today.
“[B]ecause I assumed it was illegal and would violate both FOIA [Freedom of Information Act] and DOJ [Department of Justice] requests, I kept hardcopies of all documents in my office, and I retain all associated computer files,” Posey quotes Dr. Thompson as reporting.
The CDC and Thompson’s co-author Dr. Frank DeStefano, CDC Director of Immunization Safety, have defended the controversial study as originally published. Dr. DeStefano explains why here in detail.
One final note: Rep. Posey unequivocally states that he is pro-vaccine. However, the propaganda campaign typically falsely portrays anyone who addresses vaccine safety issues as “anti-vaccine.”

“I rise today on matters of scientific integrity and research. To begin with, I am absolutely, resolutely, pro-vaccine. Advancements in medical immunization have saved countless and greatly benefitted public health. That being said, it’s troubling to me that in a recent Senate hearing on childhood vaccinations, it was never mentioned that our government has paid out over $3 billion through a vaccine injury compensation program for children who have been injured by vaccinations.
“Regardless of the subject matter, parents making decisions about their children’s health deserve to have the best information available to them. They should be able to count on federal agencies to tell them the truth. For these reasons, I bring the following matter to the House floor.
“In August 2014, Dr. William Thompson, a senior scientist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, worked with a whistleblower attorney to provide my office with documents related to a 2004 CDC study that examined the possibility of a relationship between [the] mumps, measles, rubella vaccine and autism. In a statement released in August, 2014, Dr. Thompson stated, ‘I regret that my co-authors and I omitted statistically significant information in our 2004 article published in the journal Pediatrics.’
“Mr. Speaker, I respectfully request the following excepts from the statement written by Dr. Thompson be entered into the record.
“Now quoting Dr. Thompson.
“‘My primary job duties while working in the immunization safety branch from 2000 to 2006, were to later co-lead three major vaccine safety studies. The MADDSP, MMR autism cases control study was being carried out in response to the Wakefield-Lancet study that suggested an association between the MMR vaccine and an autism-like health outcome. There were several major concerns among scientists and consumer advocates outside the CDC in the fall of 2000, regarding the execution of the Verstraeten Study. One of the important goals that was determined up front, in the spring of 2001, before any of these studies started, was to have all three protocols vetted outside the CDC prior to the start of the analyses so consumer advocates could not claim that we were presenting analyses that suited our own goals and biases. We hypothesized that if we found statistically significant effects at either 18 or 36 month thresholds, we would conclude that vaccinating children early with MMR vaccine could lead to autism-like characteristics or features. We all met and finalized the study protocol and analysis plan. The goal was to not deviate from the analysis plan to avoid the debacle that occurred with the Verstraeten thimerosal study published in Pediatrics in 2003.
‘At the Sept 5th meeting we discussed in detail how to code race for both the sample and the birth certificate sample. At the bottom of table 7, it also shows that for the non-birth certificate sample, the adjusted race effect statistical significance was huge.
‘All the authors and I met and decided sometime between August and September 2002, not to report any race effects from the paper. Sometime soon after the meeting, we decided to exclude reporting any race effects. The co-authors scheduled a meeting to destroy documents related to the study. The remaining four co-authors all met and brought a big garbage can into the meeting room, and reviewed and went through all the hardcopy documents that we had thought we should discard, and put them into a huge garbage can. However, because I assumed it was illegal and would violate both FOIA and DOJ requests, I kept hardcopies of all documents in my office, and I retain all associated computer files. I believe we intentionally withheld controversial findings from the final draft of the Pediatrics paper.’
“Mr. Speaker, I believe it is our duty to insure that the documents that Dr. Thompson are not ignored. Therefore I will provide them to members of Congress and the House Committees upon request. Considering the nature of the whistleblower’s documents as well as the involvement of the CDC, a hearing and a thorough investigation is warranted.
“So I ask, Mr. Speaker, I beg, I implore my colleagues on the appropriations committees to please, please take such action.”

“The Vaccine Safety Challenge
Immunizations are subject to a higher standard of safety than other medical interventions because they are given to healthy people. Like all medical interventions, no vaccine is 100 percent safe or effective. Vaccine safety activities are needed to maintain public confidence in immunizations, preserve high coverage levels, and prevent a resurgence of vaccine-preventable diseases. The tremendous reduction in the occurrence of vaccine-preventable diseases, combined with the increased public attention on vaccine safety concerns, has resulted in some individuals questioning the important public health role of immunizations. To maintain confidence in immunizations, we must have a better understanding of which risks are truly attributable to vaccines, the magnitude of the risks, the groups at greatest risk of adverse events, the pathophysiology of adverse events, and the ability to effectively evaluate and treat adverse events. CDC has developed several projects to help address these needs. One project is a newly-funded Clinical Immunization Safety Assessment (CISA) network to assess individuals with selected adverse events and offer recommendations for management. CDC also funds a Vaccine Safety Datalink (VSD) project which collects population-based data on vaccine safety by utilizing medical care data from 8 managed care organizations around the United States. This system helps in determining whether adverse events following vaccination are causally related or are coincidentally related. Finally, CDC and NIH have contracted with the Institute of Medicine to provide independent review of emerging information concerning adverse events associated with vaccines. These reviews will address whether the available evidence supports a role for vaccine in causing the adverse event and recommendations for future research and public health actions.”
Oddly, the CDC/NIH are considered INDEPENDENT review for vaccine safety for the INSTITUTE OF MEDICINE. The now infamous Thompson 2004 FRAUD document was produced for this group!

Sharyl, why is there not mainstream media source covering two huge stories on the MMR vaccine?
1.) This story you mention here. Our government has had all these documents from Dr. Thompson for months now, and yet they refuse to proceed with the investigation. He has even been granted immunity to speak. Why in the world is the public not hearing about this and why is our government sitting on it? We have a right to see this fully and openly investigated, with full transparency. The media has an obligation to cover it. If the allegations are true and the CDC has purposely hid data showing a higher incidence of autism among African-american boys, this needs to exposed. Please don’t let the media, under pressure of our government and their friends with the big pharma, hide this story.
2.) There is a court case going on right now against Merck. Two whistleblower scientists, who worked for Merck, state that the company flat out lied and manipulated data to show that the mumps portion of the MMR vaccine works as stated, when in fact it never has. This was so that Merck could continue to make billions on the MMR vaccine. Again, this is a huge court case, but we hear NOTHING about this by the mainstream media. Why are they so bought and paid for by the drug companies and our government? Please expose these stories and help the public see the truth.

How does a reviewer start to write about a book detailing one of the greatest crimes ever committed against humanity? How does one begin the narrative of the violation of the public trust by highly-educated scientists whose job is to protect the health of our nation and our children? This is a shame that will last a thousand years.
When author and attorney, Kevin Barry, confronted these questions in his book, Vaccine Whistleblower: Exposing Autism Research Fraud at the CDC, (scheduled for release on August 25, 2015, but you can probably get it a little earlier if you order on Amazon) he came up with a simple solution, based no doubt on his legal training. Let the guilty party, Dr. William Thompson, speak for himself. A great deal of this book is simply a transcript of four conversations recorded by Dr. Brian Hooker in which Dr. Thompson details how CDC scientists systematically buried any evidence of a link between vaccines (like the MMR) and autism.
From the introduction by Dr. Boyd Haley: Omitting data to cover up an undesirable outcome in order to reach a predetermined result is research fraud. Dr. Thompson strongly suggests that the CDC staff involved in vaccine safety withheld data to bury a connection between vaccine injury and autism.
“If Dr. Thompson is correct, scientific truth was placed second to policy interests. The health of children was compromised to protect the vaccine program. The American public has been lied to and children have been unnecessarily injured due to the corruption of the CDC. The financial cost of the corruption to tax payers is staggering. The human cost in incalculable.”
There is no spin in this book. Just the words on the page as they were spoken by Dr. Thompson and what they mean in simple logic. I must confess that there were times when I read the words that I felt physically ill. These were American scientists, not some goose-stepping Nazi doctors. And yet the emotional and intellectual distance between the goal of protecting the public’s health and not wanting to disturb the vaccine program was so vast I wondered, what had become of their humanity? How did they convince themselves that is was in the “public interest” to lie about the vaccine injuries that showed up in the data? I consider the scientific method to be one of the signature achievements of the human race. How could these scientists so blatantly disregard it, knowing the misery they would visit on millions of children and their families? If this is how the “best and the brightest” among us act, I question whether we as a species deserve to have a future.
This is Dr. Thompson in his own words on the guilt he carries for his participation in these acts: Dr. Thompson: “Here’s what I shoulder. I shoulder that the CDC has put the research ten years behind. Because the CDC has not been transparent, we’ve missed ten years of research because the CDC is so paralyzed right now by anything related to autism. They’re not doing what they should be doing because they’re afraid to look for things that might be associated. So anyway, there’s still a lot of shame with that. So when I talk to a person like you who has to live with this day in and day out, I say well, so I have to deal with a few months of hell if all this becomes public, um, no big deal. I’m not having to deal with a child who is suffering day in and day out. So that’s the way I view all this. I’m completely ashamed of what I did. So that’s that.” (Page 37)
Dr. Thompson comes across as a man who realizes in the depths of his soul the unspeakable crimes in which he has taken part. He does not pardon himself for these actions and neither will I. Confession is good for the soul and it appears that Dr. Thompson wants to unburden his sins. That has the potential to help millions, and for that, I am grateful to Dr. Thompson. What jumps out to me in their conversations is that Dr. Thompson KNEW this information would eventually come out and he was ACTIVELY aiding Dr. Hooker in that effort. Dr. Hooker is reaching across the chasm of an unspeakable crime to aid Dr. Thompson in an attempt to recover some small part of his humanity and atone for his actions.
After the four transcripts, Barry sums up the importance of these revelations like a prosecutor: “The CDC and the Institute of Medicine went through a charade of investigating the vaccine schedule to see if vaccination had anything to do with the increase in autism. Rather than looking at all vaccines and the schedule as a whole, they purported to investigate ONE vaccine (MMR) and ONE vaccine component (thimerosal). Based on this superficial review, they declared in 2004 that the entire vaccine schedule was safe, and then thwarted additional research into vaccine safety going forward, as stated in the 2004 IOM Vaccine Safety Review.” (P. 109)
Barry does an excellent job laying out the questions raised by these tapes. He first addresses the importance of the tapes, the potential next steps for policy makers, and how we can ever get the truth when those in public health openly state that protecting the vaccine program is their #1 priority? He talks about conflicts within groups like Autism Speaks and the CDC Foundation, and how the enormous amount of revenue given to the nightly news broadcasts by pharmaceutical companies (estimated to be 70% during non-election periods) can be trusted to honestly cover this issue. This is a slim, elegant book which can be read in a few hours and has the potential to change the minds of a lot of people.
I know there are those who believe our victory will arrive (and effective treatments) when we get the truth about what has happened to our children. The truth is necessary and no victory can come without it. But in addition to truth, we need understanding, compassion, and true engagement. I fully accept and embrace the idea that the worst offenders must face criminal charges and jail time. An example must be set for scientists who peddle lies, just as we would jail heroin dealers who traffic in death and misery.
But there is a larger group of individuals in the scientific community as well as the general public who must be engaged, because they will determine so much of our future. People will demand answers about how this terrible tragedy could have been allowed to take place. How is it that a small group of government researchers were able to completely shut down any real investigation of autism? Read this book to find out, then help spread the word. This is a book which I expect people to buy 5-10 copies and distribute them to your pediatricians, your school administrators, and friends or family who have doubted you. Pester them until they have finished. This is the time to be a nag.
In their search for truth, author Kevin Barry, and Dr. Brian Hooker show that our greatest weapon against the lies of pharma and the medical establishment is honest human compassion. The words of those who have helped perpetuate this tragedy are more damning than anything we could ever write.”

Hello everyone. I am going to take your research to the next level. What we are dealing with are known as “neomalthusians,” whom are people who believe on zero or negative population growth, for the sake of protecting the environment from human harm.
If you study the roots of UN Agenda 21, you will find that the people who created this worldwide plan are very keen on reducing population numbers for the preservation of the planet. These same people also believe that the average person is too ignorant to understand the complexities of modern politics, so these people deemed themselves the “managers” of society. I thought I’d let you know we have a little bit in common. I was CNN’s first medical illustrator. I studied at the Master’s in Medical Illustration program at the then, Medical College of Georgia. Lou Waters’ wife, Mardy, asked me to come in and interview for the art department job. I worked at CNN from 1981 – 1985; Ted Turner would still stroll through the studio at midnight with his “friends.” I worked with Katie Couric and Christiane Amanpour when they were “nobodies.” My best friend was producer Betsy Kulman. I remember working the day the Shuttle blew up, and CNN was the only one covering the launch. It was an incredible time and place to be. Sadly, CNN has become just another controlled network. I left the “business” to get married and become a stay-at-home, home school mom. I’m still at it!

John Jacob Astor III, who also traded in opium, married one of my ancestors, Charlotte Augusta Gibbes. She suffered from cancer, and the Astor’s founded the first cancer hospital in New York City. The only treatments available were the opium derivative and pain killer, morphine, and the experimental radium treatment promoted by Marie Curie. The Rockefellers later became involved with the hospital and were major suppliers of radium. Later, a new hospital was built, which became Sloane-Kettering, and is still Rockefeller funded. IT SEEMS THAT THE TREATMENTS HAVEN’T CHANGED EITHER!
I don’t think that there’s any question that vaccines have caused autism in some kids. I learned about this fact some years ago when the kids of some friends of mine developed autism shortly after being vaccinated. Several years later, after 9 months of mercury detoxification, they are back up to grade level in school. So I think that parents – not the state or the pharmaceutical industry – is the best judge of vaccinations for their kids.
Yes, I agree with you, but, that being said, it’s very difficult for parents to make an INFORMED choice when the facts are being tampered with. Which I guess it what the players count on. I know a couple people also, that swear the timeline is bang on, and they know in their gut that their children were fine before the vaccines, and NOT, afterwards. But their instincts and questions have been suppressed, and by people who they count on as well as the vaccine supporters. I know of 2 instances where the parents have split up, and one wants to vaccinate and the other doesn’t, and the parent who doesn’t want to is getting pressured by social development agencies, their family doctors and even their families and friends. And of course we keep hearing the vaccine supporters mantra that vaccinating makes sense for the majority even if we sacrifice a few to Autism. It’s a hard decision to make, but made even more difficult by the suppression of the facts. So yes, perhaps parents should be making the decision, but how can you make an informed decision with out the facts. So tired of our world being ruled by the almighty dollar, the moneymakers. It’s such a conflict of interest.

Why are so many people so concerned about children getting childhood diseases and pointing their finger at people who do not like to vaccinate.
They should not be concerned, for if their child is fully immunised they will not catch the disease?
So leave the responsibility with each parent

Scott, the information you are referencing to that contradict’s Dr.Thompson’s information is from an astroturfing group that distorts truthful information

That’s why Congress must also target CDC’s “journalists” – people like Kerry Lauerman, Laura Helmuth, Ivan Oransky and Jeffrey Kluger must all be subpoenaed.
