The Briefing

  • In year defined by a global pandemic, many of the wealthiest people in the U.S. saw their wealth grow substantially
  • Since the market bottom in March 2020, the billionaires on this list grew their wealth by 57% on average
  • Elon Musk had the highest net worth increase at $128.9 billion

Elon Musk saw the highest increase during this period, with a $129 billion boost in net worth—that’s a whopping 523% in gains.

Jeff Bezos saw the second highest growth in net worth with a $74 billion increase. This isn’t surprising, given that Amazon’s stock price has climbed 69% since the beginning of 2020.

    Full Measure Team,

“Guess who's gotten RICHER [[ my emphasis ]] during the COVID-19 pandemic?”

    “Richer” is pejorative, Sharyl.

    Rather :

    S M A R T E R ?

    MORE C L E V E R ?

    MORE P R O D U C T I V E ?

    MORE F R U G A L ?

    MORE L U C K Y ?

    MORE B L E S S E D ?

    LESS P O O R ?

The ghost of Karl Marx (( and other Emotion-Driven /
    Marxian-Minded / Right-Brained among us )) uses the
term, “RICH,” as an ATTACK on the UBER-Productive
in this once MORAL and MERITORIOUS West.

    Dictionary :

    PEJORATIVE

    adjective

—having a disparaging, derogatory, or belittling effect or force

—a pejorative form or word, as poetaster

    P.S.

How about : “Full Measure of Impossibility,” re CBS and
ABC reporting this morning, January 1, 2021, that :

    “Wuhan is Covid-19 free.”

    and

“There hasn’t been a Covid case in China for months.”

Belief in that IMPOSSIBILITY by MSM, is a clear measure of how stunningly STUPID, say, for an example, reporter Mary Bruce is !

No gene-altering vaccine needed there ! And the Communist Chinese celebrated with close contact and happy abandon.

To Those of You Suffering in the West ?, you’ve been dumbed-down by the Diversity-Perversity in public schools, which PERVERSITY required dumbing down ALL Curricula—to be FAIR to the less genetically equipped to handle WHITES’ pre-1960s education standards.

Finis !—for WHITES’ gene pool ? !

You're obviously more intelligent than I, but getting richer is not a pejorative term in my thinking. There are many "things" I would like to have but need to be richer, that is
need have more disposable income to afford. The billion/millionaires getting richer, banking more stock or money, is their business, and none of mine. I hope it makes their life richer.
Thus, when I think of "being richer" it's not always about money. Being able to spend more time with family and friends and enjoying God's creation certainly makes my life richer.

When you already have billions, it doesn’t take much to enable those billions to grow substantially, hence the admonition to “regular folk of all colors” to begin saving as early as possible in life!!!!

As Jungian guy said, being rich is, in most cases, due to ingenuity, creativity, hard work, a better mousetrap, and, yes, a certain amount of good fortune. I don’t hate the rich. I wish I was one of them. And, thankfully, I’m getting closer.

So are these people smarter then the rest or are they part of the self fulfilling generation that lost focus and gave themselves to profiting on creative destruction? The days ahead and history will be there reckoning may God have mercy on these poor souls. But may his will be done in heaven and on earth. Amen.

      Richard,

Is that “day of reckoning” the day Mao-style
      EQUALITARIANS / MARXISTS have raped,
tortured, and killed us, in the NAME of that
      FAIRNESS drive toward full-blown, “loving,”
      Communism ?

I suspect the $600 coronavirus stimulus checks will help Mr. Bezos get off to a fast start in 2021.

Every 7- 12 years a government controlled cabal creates a crisis in which the answer is trillions of our tax dollars be helicoptered all over the world. Then they gobble up the peon`s assets at $.30 on the $1.00. It happens like clockwork.

They tried to destroy our economy with the Russian hoax and it failed....then the Ukraine Hoax....it failed and finally the Impeachment, another epic fail. People need to wake up and start preparing for these made up crisis and insulate themselves because they are never going to end.

    Remember.....every 7- 12 years.

      Re: C A B A L, YES ! :

”Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an INVISIBLE GOVERNMENT [[ my emphasis ]] owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people. To destroy this invisible government, to befoul the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of today.”
      -Theodore Roosevelt

      —Nix the Marxian (non-)Federal Reserve.

—Nix the Monopoly Money, by restoring Constitutional gold/silver backing, as MONEY.

—Nix the American Communist Lawyers Union.

—Nix the Southern Communist Poverty Law Center.

—Nix the Marxian-run Department of Education.

—Send will-of-the-people STATESMEN to Washington, not LOBBY-directed POLITICIANS.

—Restore the anti-communist, virtue-/moral-steeped America of the 1950s.

—task Hollywood to stop flushing its mind-molesting SEWAGE, as “entertainment,” on this once-MORAL nation..

And the list grows longer with each passing year !

Okay, the rich got richer. The point?
Without a comparison of who got hurt in the process, it's kind of a hit piece on the rich. The story should reference this previous one so the reader has a better comparison between rich and poor: : https://www.visualcapitalist.com/high-wage-vs-low-wage-economic-recovery-us/
Furthermore: Knowing that the industry is key to rich and poor, this other previous story is also helpful:

It's only a "hit piece" on the rich if you infer your own message. The factual presentation of who got richer doesn't convey a judgement; the judgement is yours. Nothing wrong with comparisons that you wish to make, if you like!

Why would it be of interest to find out who got richer?
Do you think this could be a narrative designed to make others envious or resentful and want the government to "do something:"?
Can you point to any non-modeling study that shows an increased wealth gap hurts the poor?
If you had a magic wand and doubled everyone's wealth at the same time, wouldn't the poor improve their station at the same time the wealth gap would increase dramatically?

I sent this to Governor Newsom:
Suicide: that is what YOU are causing. Take your dictatorial BOOT of the necks of people. There are people who have lost their business, lost their job, lost their church, and lost their HOPE.
You must declare an end to this NOW. This lockdown is based on A FRAUD. $77,000 is being given to hospitals for every COVID patient, whistleblowers have proven that 40% of those cases were NOT COVID deaths: in MN Senator Scott Jensen, MD, found people who died from gun shot wounds were being reported as COVID-19 deaths.
You are a party to a Nationwide SCAM.
    End the lockdown NOW.
    Or: you will be RECALLED.

"Prior to capitalism, the way people amassed great wealth was by looting, plundering and enslaving their fellow man. Capitalism made it possible to become wealthy by serving your fellow man." -- Walter E. Williams
Why is the wealth of a person newsworthy if they obtained their wealth by legal means and voluntary transactions with others?
How does the wealth of a rich person cause a poor person to become more poorer? If that were true, then the billionaires wouldn't live in the US but in third world countries.
This is more class warfare that is pervasive in the MSM's narrative. The point of this narrative is to drive us to socialism though envy, resentment and hopelessness.
I'm surprised that Ms. Attkisson is participating in this narrative.

Worth it to mention, while everyone else is losing their shirts-none of these people suffered any financial setback because of covid. I think part of the point is wondering if they knew the plan ahead of time....just like all of the Ceo's that cashed out right before covid hit the U.S.
