(UPDATED) VIDEO of the person who shot and killed protester and Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt

Update: U.S. Capitol Police have not identified the employee who they say shot and killed protester Ashli Babbit yesterday at the Capitol.

A spokesman says that employee has been placed on leave pending an investigation.

Meantime, the Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund has announced he’s resigning. He said earlier that protesters had attacked police during the episode.

A still frame from a video (link below) appears to show the shooter

Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt was shot and killed while trying to climb through an interior door at the U.S. Capitol with a group protesting alleged election fraud

Update: News reports have identified the woman who was shot and killed as Ashli Babbitt of San Diego, a 14-year veteran who served four tours with the U.S. Air Force.

The following videos circulated on the Internet appear to show Ashli Babbitt being shot by police.

Babbitt appears to be climbing through an interior broken window when the sound of a shot is heard and she falls to the ground.

As protesters and police gather around her, one observer can be heard immediately after the shot was fired saying, “It was just a flash bang!”

Later, it was announced that Babbitt had died of her gunshot wound.

Tens of thousands of Trump supporters rallied in a mostly peaceful protest in Washington D.C. amid widespread allegations of election fraud.

Hundreds of protesters, including Babbitt, stormed Capitol buildings before Congress could certify the electoral votes. Congress later certified Joe Biden as president-elect.

  1. Just another low IQ order followering coward who did literally anything for a paycheck. Society values soldiers lives at 1 bullet. She fulfilled her destiny.

If the military weren’t shit-tier primates they’d have done something valuable with their lives, like actually serving a greater purpose.

The lowest of the low in every conceivable way. The least they could do is die quietly.

  2. How many Black rank and file Capitol Police wear suits with white dress shirts and cuff links? I didn’t see the video until today (don’t like watching violence) but you can clearly see his face above mask and wrist between gloves and dress shirt. He’s Black. And he’s wearing cuff links visible in white dress shirt.

  3. Any TV station that says they are “fair and balanced” are likely neither.

Any person who is a “nonpartisan” reporter is likely not one.

You only have to say those things if you are trying to deceive people. At least that is how I see things.

If I have learned nothing else in the last 1 hour, (you) people are crazy.

Lack of proper grammar, spelling, crazy baseless and defunct conspiracies, caps lock(why are you yelling so much) and every other idiosyncratic uneducated verbal diarrhea coming out of your mouth would be hilarious if it wasn’t so sad.

Try to listen to people who are not in your group, or your echo chamber. Maybe you and your friends dont know everything? Maybe the people that you disagree with know some things you don’t? Maybe you could learn something? I guess it would require humbleness, curiosity and patience. It might be worth it.

  4. I am amazed at how many of you are incapable of focusing on facts. I see no antifa involved in Ashli Babbitt’s killing. Watch the video frame by frame: Police follow orders. Who was controlling the capital cops? The shooter who was set up and waiting for Babbitt to come through the window was dressed IN A SUIT! A black suit with a white shirt, tie, and a thick mask with a black mask cover. Guess what? Just on the other side of that doorway was another man dressed in a suit, tie, with the same mask and black cover and a little tube or something on a lanyard around his neck. He was standing right next to Babbitt, watching her. He was talking to the three cops who were standing, blocking the doors. Suddenly the three cops move over to the wall by the suit guy and they all watch Babbitt climb up to go through the window. Any one of them could have stopped her just by pulling her leg. They didn’t do that, they watched her take a bullet and didn’t seem a bit surprised. The suit moved Babbitt a bit farther away and then stood over her keeping others away from her. Were they waiting for her to die? Who were the masked men? The “men in black”? What agency did they work for? Who was giving them orders? BTW, the suit standing over Babbitt seemed to be giving orders to the three original cops guarding the door and also to the four men of the SWAT team who arrived just before the other SUIT killed Ashli Babbitt. You should be asking who were these men? What were their orders?

  5. I think because this rally was preplanned, the Harris administration took advantage of the event and
had her buddy( AOC ) call on her George Soros organizations, there are so many of them!!
They storm the Capital and set President Trump up!
Trump supporter are shown, after the police let them in, WALKING, between the velvet ropes! what
rioter walks between the velvet ropes!! The Republican supporters was there to fight for our rights!
Not just for Trump, but for our rights, our Nation! that we will never get back again.
Did you hear Senator Kolbuchar ( Biden administration ) when she said we can move fast when we want too! referring to impeachment papers, this was all planned by Harris, Pelosi, etc….
    ALL A SET UP!!!

  6. Considering the enormity of the crime against the people in stealing the presidential election, the Trump supporters’ behavior was, if anything, far too tame.

  7. Last I knew, Antifa and BLM (and other Color Revolution types) have not run False Flag ops. That has been our FBI, CIA, and other deep state agency folks. Antifa, BLM et al are just their “armies.”

  8. As I was watching the desecration of the Capitol, I wondered how the Trump supporters were going to spin this to somehow make it seem like Trump wasn’t responsible. It seemed to me that the most likely avenue would be they would point to the fact that Trump didn’t literally tell his supporters to storm the Capitol even if he did fill their heads with nonsense about the election being stolen, even if he did tell them to come to Washington to participate in a “wild protest”, even if he did tell them to march to the Capitol and to “fight”.
Or maybe the excuse would be that people were mad because they felt that the election was stolen. So people are allowed to exhibit the self-control of children because they are mad. Sounds about right. Or maybe it’s some false equivalency between this riot and the riots in the summer. So I guess if someone does something bad, that gives you the right to do something bad as well.
But it never occurred to me that Trump supporters would immediately rush out with the story that those involved in the mob couldn’t have been MAGA folks after all. Apparently, that’s because no one knows anyone who supports Trump who would do something like that. Or maybe it’s because they’ve all been convinced that the “other side” is capable of any evil deed imaginable. And are so cleverly devious.
I know it’s hard to admit an uncomfortable reality at times, but it seems to me that this conspiracy theory shares many traits with the one involving election fraud, albeit them being in different stages of maturity. The story of election fraud started immediately after the election itself, apparently motivated by nothing more than the fact that Trump lost. No evidence had been produced at that point and none has been produced since then to prove the election fraud case. In fact, all of the “facts” produced thus far have shown just the opposite. Likewise with the composition of the mob. The clean up hasn’t even been completed, and we are already regaled with conspiracy theories that it was Antifa somehow embedded in the mob that was the real villain. Perhaps that will be shown to be true in the future. All I know now is that the four people identified thus far are all ardent Trump supporters.
So that’s the way it goes. In both cases, something happened that cast Trump in a bad light (losing the election, Trump supporters storming the Capitol) and a conspiracy theory was immediately born seeking to undo reality. Or at least seeking to remove any stain from Trump. And the lack of evidence (particularly in the election fraud case which has had time to mature) hasn’t in even a small way deterred those ardent believers.
Something truly shameful happened on Wednesday. Yet even that doesn’t seem to be sufficient to cause enough people to rethink their allegiance to someone who was at least one of the proximate causes of that shame, someone who had to wait more than a full day to issue any sort of statement condemning what happened, someone who abdicated his responsibility to try to restore order. And someone whose behavior on that day was completely in character with the way he has conducted himself for the past four years.
    Thirteen more days.

    1. you are completely disillusioned and uninformed. people are Not just coming up with theories if you were there many had phones out recording. you havent seen all the footage because it keep getting taken down from social media platforms and censored by google and you tube. Why at 630 am dc mayor send an emergency message to stay in not to go out it was too dangerous yet only small amount of dc police were on duty knowing both senate and house were in session why didnt mayor increase security measures if it was. too dangerous to be at capitol you live in the democratic bubble the corrupt media corrupt officials placed you in I hope you’re brushing up on your Mandarin gonna need it

      1. I am indeed disillusioned although I have no idea how that applies to my post. What I am disillusioned about is the complete lack of critical thinking and the complete failure to accept reality coming from the “fraud” side. There has been zero acknowledgement of the obvious fact that these claims have been examined by any number of courts and found to have no merit. What are the odds that there is some meat to these theories that continue to fail so spectacularly? For example, here is what one judge in Pennsylvania said: “One might expect that when seeking such a startling outcome, a plaintiff would come formidably armed with compelling legal arguments and factual proof of rampant corruption. Instead, this court has been presented with strained legal arguments without merit and speculative accusations … unsupported by the evidence. This cannot justify the disenfranchisement of a single voter, let alone all the voters in [the] sixth most populated state. Our people, laws and institutions demand more.” Trump has lost all of the 60-odd fraud cases that his team has filed. And when you lose 60 – 0, it ain’t the referees. You just don’t have a very good team (or evidence). Yet the claims persist, indeed they persist with barely diminished fervor. And often as not, the claims are based on a belief in some nonsensical dark cabal between Democrats and Republican election officials in multiple states without any thought about the likelihood of such a thing truly existing. But logic doesn’t seem to be a concern. And that’s truly disillusioning. Whether I have seen all of the relevant footage or indeed whether I am personally uninformed or not doesn’t matter. It’s what the courts have seen and what their rulings have been that matter. Sorry, but I simply can’t follow the argument about the mayor of D.C. I don’t understand what point is being made. I will only point out that the D.C. police don’t provide security for the Capital (or any building in the federal portion of D.C.) unless asked.

  9. I am not an American, I have never voted in any American elections , I have no stake in American elections.
What I am, is amazed at how events have been reported on this site with very little evidence.
I can appreciate people are very upset the way things are in the states right now.
Could everyone take a breath and pause for a second. Just a second….?
Think about this, accusations have been made as to the identity of the people at the protest, accusations that stretch my ability to believe what is being reported.
Perhaps you all should be more worried about the people “reporting” what they “think” or would like to think happened at this protest. After all the protestors have all been caught on camera. If they have done something wrong they will be called on it. The keyboard warriors on this site on the other hand can hide behind a veil of anonymity while they peddle their version of events to a hungry, hurt and patriotic audience who are willing and want to believe the worst.
If you are so worried about the way the media are reporting the news, Then become the media yourself but offer your audience incontrovertible proof , something tangible, something you cannot argue with. All I see here is hearsay conjecture and fantastic reporting?
It is not enough to say someone is antifa, you have to prove it! Only then can justice and truth move forwards.
So ask the Trump supporters to account for one another, If you say they are antifa prove it. Find another Trump supporter to vouch for him/her. Eliminate the doubt before you draw a conclusion.
Lastly can I offer my condolences to the family of the woman who was shot. No matter what her beliefs, she was a human being first and foremost.

And lastly could I ask everyone in the States to be a little more tolerant of their fellow Americans. Maybe listen before you shout. I would hate to see another Belfast develop before my eyes in the land of the free and the home of the Brave!

The only stake I have in all of this is my belief in peace and Democracy.
    God Bless!

    1. Conservative Americans have been getting the wrong end of the stick for the 5years only because we voted for President Trump. We have been called every despicable name in the book just because we voted for Trump. We have been compared to the most disgusting low-lifes to have ever lived just because we voted for Trump. So the last thing I need is advice from someone who is not an American, who has never voted (that’s good….it’s illegal) and who doesn’t have skin in the game.
The bottom line is there is no reason to believe Antifa wasn’t there. They have shown up at every other rally just to cause shit. There were tens of thousands of people there. There is no way by some miracle they all of a sudden decided….nah, let’s just sit this one out. There is also no way ALL of the people there can be identified because of videos taken. What I believe is that YOU yourself are merely an anonymous keyboard warrior peddling YOUR version of the events. You’re asking the wrong people to be a little more tolerant of our fellow Americans who have no intention of responding in kind. So stay in your lane, pal. God Bless Canada, and God Bless all Canadians.

      1. I am Irish. We have a lot of investment from American companies in our Irish economy, I have the greatest of respect for the American people regardless of their political opinions and the ideals that their country was founded on. I have relatives in America. It’s often been said that when the American economy sneezes the whole world catches a cold. So to say what happens in America doesn’t concern me , I would have to respectfully disagree.
My details have been left with the owners of this website, if you have any doubts as to the veracity of my Identity, contact the owners of this website. I had to register before I could post.
You have automatically assumed I am anti republican party. I am not! But I would not be a fan of President Trump. In fact I would more than likely vote Republican if he were not in Power. If I had a vote.
I think you have assumed too much!
I also understand the republican party anger that needs to be addressed and acknowledged by the Democrats.
I can even acknowledge it was very anti democratic when the Democrats did a back door deal to bail out the financial institutes against the American peoples will. Same thing happened here in Ireland.
The world is a global village we are it seems all facing the same problems.

So , let me profoundly apologise in every conceivable manner possible for caring what happens to our American friends. Let me again apologise for being born in a country where violence is no stranger and offering an opinion and making you aware of my concerns. My intent was never to offend in any way. But it seems my innocuous well intentioned post has caused offence despite my best intentions.

I am so sorry that you took my opinion the wrong way.

Regards and BTW I have relatives and really good friends in Canada as well as well as Japan, Thailand, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, Italy, Finland, Sweden, Greece, Turkey, Swaziland and the Ivory Coast. Nearly all have voiced concern over the state of affairs in America.
        Because all of us care.
