The Twitter account of Gateway Pundit was permanently suspended for repeat policy violations after it posted surveillance video of Detroit’s TCF Center.
The video was recorded in the early morning hours after the election in the time period when President Trump went from a commanding lead to a trailing position behind Joe Biden.
The video shows a white van making two deliveries, reportedly hours after the deadline for ballots to be collected.
Shortly after Gateway Pundit tweeted its intention to release more of the video, its Twitter account was pulled.
Gateway Pundit’s tagline reads: “We report the truth– and leave the Russia Collusion fairy tale to the conspiracy media.”
It is critical to our Freedom of Speech that the big tech companies do not assert general control over the Internet. To this end we need to define the network as a Public Utility and then define attached websites and apps as Information Services. With this in mind we make clear public access to the internet remains available. The conditions for use would only prohibit using the net to discuss, plan or advocate activities or materials which are otherwise illegal by statute. With this in mind we also note that anyone who want to set up a web hosting service can do so and then can sell access to whoever it likes. A little further clarification is needed: Web service providers such as Charter, ComCast, and others — are part of the Public Utility along with the cable plant and supporting switches. The end result is that a web service like Big Daddy can write it’s own EULA and ostracize customer it doesn’t like — it cannot prevent some New Service from setting up a server farm and selling web site service.
No surprise there: suppression and cancellation are an old established Marxist tactic. Then the commissars appear and take the rebel to the Maoist-style Repentance and Political Reeducation facility (with attached crematoria, f the treatment doesn’t take…. )
I have no sympathy for gateway. They banned me because I made a typo in a link. I couldn’t even contact their support desk to find out what happened, or straighten it out. I was a moderator for a HUGE forum for several years and you just don’t treat people like that. What goes around comes around.
Being a poorly managed company is one thing. I’m sorry that you were penalized for making a typo in a link. On the other hand, being banned because you’re trying to get information about election fraud out into the world is unconscionable. This is clearly not a case of “what Goes around comes around“ because these are two different things. Poorly managed support centers, or repression of truth. Not the same thing. Twitter should be banned.

Just the other day, Time magazine admitted/boasted that there was a coordinated media effort – including Big Tech giants like Twitter and Facebook – to manipulate media content with the hope of defeating Donald Trump in the 2020 election. This involved outright censorship, promoting some stories while suppressing others, creating narratives designed to influence public opinion, and modifying algorithms to hide or elevate certain stories.
Now, Twitter has the audacity to ban The Gateway Pundit for allegedly doing what Twitter was itself doing: trying to “manipulate” the election. The Gateway Pundit’s crime was to present evidence of voter fraud, including actual video of suspicious activities. By contrast, I am not aware of Twitter banning anyone for saying – without evidence – that Trump stole the 2016 election and was therefore an “illegitimate” president. Nor do I recall Stacey Abrams being suspended for claiming – without evidence – that she either won the Georgia governor’s election in 2018, or lost only because of “voter suppression.”
This goes beyond mere “hypocrisy.” It is much darker than that. We seem to be entering a fascist era in which the only voices allowed are those who agree with the official (Democrat) line. Anything else will be labeled “misinformation” and banned. And with increasing talk of a new “war on terror” directed at “the enemy within,” things become even darker. “The enemy within” clearly refers to Trump supporters, Republicans, and conservatives in general, especially Christians, and excludes the BLM and Antifa groups who rioted all summer long. Many of us now live in fear, and perhaps that is the point of it all.
