Rep. Buck urges AG nominee Garland to keep U.S. Attorney investigating Hunter Biden

Congressman Ken Buck (R-Colorado) sent a letter to Attorney General nominee, Merrick Garland, urging him to retain U.S. Attorney David Weiss until his office completes its ongoing investigation into Hunter Biden.

Alternatively, Rep. Buck asked Garland to appoint a special prosecutor if he chooses to remove Mr. Weiss before the Biden investigation is complete.

Buck argued that it is “critical that this investigation continue free from political interference, no matter who is in the White House”.

    1. Yes, I believe that is what Garland said (keep investigation going) but is resisting a special counsel appointment at this time.since there is an ongoing investigation. If I got it right, what is the point of the letter?
