Border Crisis and Covid’s Genetic Detective

This week, Biden’s Homeland Security chief insisted there’s no crisis at the border.

Every federal and local law enforcement official I spoke to on a recent trip to the border said the opposite.

In just the last four months, border officials say they have intercepted and expelled more than 296,000 illegal border crossers.

Sunday on Full Measure, what I learned firsthand on my no-spin trip to the Arizona-Mexico border. The Biden administration had worked quickly to erase President Trump’s get-tough immigration initiatives that drastically reduced illegal immigration in the last year and a half of his time office.

Border Patrol says that number of illegal immigrants intercepted in four months, nearly 300,000, has already passed all of 2018.

At this rate, this year will surpass 2018, 2019 and 2020 combined.

Under Trump most of the intercepted immigrants were turned back. Under Biden, they will be admitted.

Local officials say it’s already had a dramatic impact triggering a new flood of illegal immigration. They say they worry that with the federal government now stepping back on enforcing border laws, border towns and border ranchers will be tempted to take matters into their own hands.

Meantime, local towns are being notified they’ll be used as overflow to release illegal immigrants.

What are the numbers and what’s ahead? Watch my investigation on the big border shift.

Also Sunday, we’ll hear from Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) who’s also just back from a trip to the border. He focuses on the Biden administration’s reversal of Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” program and predicts disaster by summer.

And we’ll get the inside scoop on how the military’s genetic detectives at Ft. Detrick work to solve mysteries surrounding Covid-19 and other viruses.

  1. I would like to see more information on what the army is doing with regard to genetic testing or anything related to the code 19 virus

  2. “In just the last four months, border officials say they have intercepted and expelled more than 296,000 illegal border crossers”.

I am having a problem understanding this.
Of the 300,00 intercepted, how many were admitted to the United States?
    Thank you,

  3. Open border immigration is a plane wreck.

This thought is from and actual plane conversation with a traveling friend. Coming back from Vegas on the ‘Redeye’, looking out the window into the darkness he says “I hope this plane comes down”.
As I got a chuckle and a nod of agreement from the two flight close to us. My response “I guarantee this plane will come down, gravity will take care of that, the trick is to have it come down when we want and where we want.”

If the plane falls out of the sky there is usually a big expensive mess. Tracking down all of the pieces scattered over a wide area to find out what went wrong, which ones injured or even killed the passengers.

The same for open border immigration a big expensive mess. Tracking down all of the pieces scattered over the country to find out what went wrong, which ones injured or killed the residents from Covid-19 or other acts of indiscretion.

So not to have an immigration plane wreck the trick is to have them come in where we want and when we want so there is a nice smooth landing and everyone is happy to be safe home.

    Just a thought.
