Chain of custody for over 400,000 Georgia absentee ballots: missing (REPORT)

The following is an excerpt from a Georgia Star News follow-up investigation into Georgia’s mishandling of hundreds of thousands of absentee mail in ballots.

Four months after the November 3, 2020 presidential election, state and county officials in Georgia have failed to produce chain of custody documents for an estimated 404,691 vote by mail absentee ballots deposited in drop boxes and subsequently delivered to county registrars for counting.

As of March 3, only 56 of Georgia’s 159 counties have provided ballot transfer form data to The Georgia Star News. The number of absentee by mail ballots delivered to registrars in those 56 counties total only 195,309, or 32.5 percent, of the estimated 600,000 absentee vote by mail ballots deposited in drop boxes and delivered to county registrars and counted in Georgia’s 2020 presidential election.

In other words, there is no chain of custody for 67.5 percent – an estimated 404,691 – of the estimated 600,000 absentee vote by mail ballots deposited in drop boxes and delivered to county registrars and counted in Georgia’s 2020 presidential election.

The 2020 presidential election outcome in Georgia was decided by fewer than 12,000 votes – about three percent of the 404,000 absentee vote by mail ballots deposited in drop boxes and delivered to county registrars where they were counted.

  1. Thank you for your truthful reporting! I always look forward to your show. It is the only reporting I can trust on antenna TV. Thank you! God Bless!

  2. That’s outstanding news reporting .
    Considering the news just retracted
The statement about Trumps phone call to Georgia.
Who’s job is this for reporting this .
    Peace

  3. This is a mess (still). What happens if they find the ballots and the count changes the results of the election? What I don’t understand is that if the election professionals running things in each state can’ t produce numbers easily they haven’t done their jobs correctly.

    My thought on election procedures. Early voting-yes, mail in ballots-yes, in person voting-yes, ID’s required-yes, US Citizen-yes, 18 and over- yes, Released felons-yes, Incarcerated felons-No, 16 & 17-no.
All votes tabulated the date of election. Which means mail-in ballots have to be received before election day to be tabulated. Drop boxes have to be collected to be tabulated before closing of the polls on election day. When in doubt, in-person voting can be the last resort. Voting tabulation must be completed the voting day. All results are held until election polls are closed in all voting areas.
That means the midnight results are not revealed until all voting is complete. East coast results are not available until west coast including Alaska and Hawaii poles are closed. Sorry to the media who like to project the winners and influence the western part of the voters.

    1. I think we need to move election day to a sunday or make it a federal day off. Open more polling stations on highly populated areas and create an incentive for more volunteers.

      1. It should be one day. All the early voting is a fraud facilitator and last year shameless Democrats had the mail in voting bonanza. Half of those 400000 ballots were fake.

    2. Proof of chain of custody beginning with the voter is absolutely essential. Restoration of confidence cannot be achieved with nilly-willy mail-in or drop-box balloting. In-person balloting will always be best. Too lazy to cast your vote in person? Then you don’t appreciate the true importance of your citizenship and your sacred rights endowed in our Constitution.

    3. Felonies after they have finished their parole time. In addition poll watchers should be given 100% cooperation, with them have the authority to STOP a count. A Sheriff or deputy , or law enforcement officer with training ( dealing with what’s legal and not in the vote area and counting process ) should be at each location where counting take place.

    4. Seriously? NOBODY wants Mail-in ballots or drop boxes except the thieving scumbag Democrats. We are living under a de facto communist dictatorship since we lost our right to a legitimate vote/election in the last 2 elections: Nov. 3 and the GA runoff, both elections were rigged and fraudulent.

  4. EASY TO SEE. THIS IS DAMAGE CONTROL. THE REEL TRUTH IS THAT THE 2020 ELECTION WAS STOLDEN. THEM RESPONCABLE NEEDS TO BE IN PRISON . AND BY THAT I MEAN ANY ONE THAT PLAYED ANY PART IN THIS CRAP. AND THEN THROW AWAY THE KEYS

  5. I can only say this…… If something is broken it needs to be fixed. What happened is our 2020 elections has made America a laughing stock for the world. We are in deep trouble with what is happing now in the White House. The Democrats have planned this for years. They see that Trump is a big problem for them. Just remember this….. To beat a thief you must think like a thief. Republicans need to grow a set of balls and stand up to abuse that is happing to Americans. Do your job or you will be replaced!

    1. We must detach/separate from this corruption. How to do that w tentacles of treasonous people in all levels of gov’t/businesses? IMO, we must begin a ‘Brexit’ in USA. There is no other option. If we don’t cut ourselves off from these power grabbers we will lose everything. We can’t wait til 2022. They are quickly tearing apart Constitution/ending job/etc doing that so that citizens will be too weak/depressed to do anything. I see Brexit USA as the only way to stop this.

  6. This is why HR1 needs to be defeated and state legislatures need to tighten there election process. The first start would be voter ID. The claims that showing an ID is racist is a slap in the face of people of color. To imply that they are not able to get a photo ID is racist itself.

  7. Anyone with half a brain could see that Gabriel Sterling was a conman and a corrupt official. He didn’t care about the end to end process…..

My two cents–If an ID is required to board a plane, it is an absolute must that a voter needs an ID to to vote.
No registration on voting day–no one can check to see if an address is valid or if the person even lives there on voting day.
Absentee votes must be in the the day of the election.
No mass mailing of absentee ballots. A valid absentee request must be submitted, postmarked, envelope retained for proof of delivery.
Just like evidence in a court case, if chain of custody for the ballots can not guaranteed,,,the ballots must be thrown out.
No harvesting of ballots. One person–one turned in ballot.
Mark Zuckerberg, Mike Bloomberg or any well healed billionaire cannot put ballot collection boxes anywhere. It is the duty of the election district to assign polling places or ballot drop off areas. And it is their duty to collect those ballots.
Put polling places in Home Depot, grocery stores, etc. If you can go to get food, medicine or repair parts–you can vote there.
Most important thing–there should be term limits.

  9. Giant multi-billion dollar banks, investment houses, retail operations, and most other businesses can track, count, reconcile, and balance their operations to the penny. But numerous state election officials can’t perform a simple tally count of ballots and can’t maintain appropriate chain of custody with supporting documentation for the relevant vote counting processes? This is clearly not a story about systemic government incompetence but must actually be indicative of things more sinister. Hopefully the tenacity of journalists, like Ms. Attkisson, will expose the truth in time for all the world to see.

  10. But what does it mean? Does this mean some of these votes were illegal? Can they be reviewed to see if are legitimate? Were they reviewed in the recounts?

  11. A total of 123 counties had absentee ballot drop boxes for the November 2020 election, according to Raffensperger.

Raffensperger said 120 counties “filled out and retained ballot transfer forms in accordance with Georgia rules.”
The three counties accounted for 0.37% of all the absentee ballots cast in the November election, according to Raffensperger.
