Joe Biden is not a hologram. But…

The following is an excerpt of my latest article in The Hill.

Joe Biden isn’t a hologram.

But the relative absence from the public stage of a newly elected U.S. president and leader of the free world is sparking no small amount of speculation and chatter about the brave new world of possibilities offered by technological advancements and the unprecedented control over information on the Internet.

So far, under Biden, there have been none of the extended press availabilities that we got accustomed to under President Trump. No impromptu sessions with the media where he fields questions and attacks, dealing with dozens of wide-ranging topics. President Biden even skipped the traditional live, in-person February address to Congress. We’ve only seen him primarily in the form of various “proof of life”-like video clips distributed on the internet, where he reads scripted remarks from a teleprompter.

Even some officials who work in the Biden administration tell me they can’t help but wonder why. And it has them mulling over farfetched speculation that, upon further examination, starts to look almost like it is not completely outside the realm of the possible.

In June 2019, I published a story on “deep fake” technology. It explored how Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) computer technology has put special effects, once reserved as expensive and time-consuming accomplishments of Hollywood films, in the hands of most anybody with a computer and the desire to use it.

As I showed in the report, this A.I. technology can make people who didn’t say or do something look very much like they said or did the thing. I urge everyone to watch the story here and keep in mind two things: First, the technology has advanced further by leaps and bounds since my original report. And, second, our intelligence agencies have capabilities far beyond whatever it is we see in public.

Some years ago, a government source with access to intelligence at the highest levels explained to me — without divulging any classified information — that any technological thing we can imagine is actually being researched or accomplished in the secret channels of our government. And, he told me, things that are beyond our ability to imagine also are being done.
Some of the things we know are already possible: Scientists can build lifelike robots or droids that are getting harder and harder to distinguish from humans. They can even interact and take part in rational-sounding two-way conversations. Hologram-like figures can make campaign appearances (as India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi did, as early as 2012) or even be resurrected from the grave (as pop star Michael Jackson was) for “live” performances.

What would be necessary if powerful interests wanted to construct a believable artificial reality surrounding the most powerful political position on the planet? (Continued…)

  1. Patrick Sheridan

The few times he’s said anything it looks like he’s had a stroke. His mouth doesn’t move right. Could be explained by either possibility.

  2. Many are probably wondering who the puppet masters are that have been making the EO’s that Biden signs at a record pace and the radical people who are being nominated for higher levels of government. Susan Rice and other former Obama officials are a major influence over these decisions. I wonder how long before the curtain is pulled back to reveal the real people behind this unprecedented decision making and if Obama is a major influence in this.

  3. Biden reminds me of John Gill of the old “Star Trek” episode “Patterns of Force” (02/16/1968, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0708442/ ), the figurehead, leader of the government, who is only seen on TV, an incapacitated, puppet being manipulated behind the scenes by the real ones in power in the government.

It has nothing to do with the “Nazi” content of the episode. It could be about any totalitarian party on a power grab. In our case, it’s the Democrats.

  4. “Even some officials who work in the Biden administration tell me they can’t help but wonder why”
Really? They have nary a clue?? C’mon, man….. he appears to be in early stages of dementia and it is possible he has no clue, either. And 80 million(?) people voted for him as we watch the slow destruction of this country…..

  5. A hologram would be designed to present Biden in a much more favorable light than what we’ve seen from the real Biden. If Biden is a hologram, the creator of the hologram needs to go back to the drawing board.

But even though the MSM is trying to pull the wool over our eyes about Biden’s weakened condition, foreign leaders surely know what’s going on. I wouldn’t be surprised if our own government has briefed them about Biden, and told them what the timeline is for him to step down.

I imagine that one of the main issues is how long to wait before the government and MSM can claim “plausible deniability” that they were unaware of Biden’s condition before the election, so that they can express deep regret over his “sudden, tragic, and unforeseeable decline.” It will be prohibited to question the narrative, and anyone who questions the official narrative will be dismissed as a “conspiracy theorist” under the pernicious influence of QAnon, Alex Jones, and Roger Stone.

  6. SA employs the disingenuous “just asking questions” technique, the same one employed by Ron Johnson when he said that he was “just asking questions” about what Nancy Pelosi knew beforehand about the Capitol riot. The technique is intended to speak to like minds and plant the seed of some usually off-the-wall conspiracy theory without actually being specific about what is being claimed, buttressed by some facts that could be related but aren’t necessarily. And the asker doesn’t really care if the question is investigated or not. The mere fact that it is now out in the public sphere is good enough. Much like Trump didn’t care if Ukraine actually investigated Biden or not. All he wanted was an announcement of an investigation. After all, he was “just asking questions”.
This article starts off by stating that Biden isn’t a hologram. Well, that’s good. That’s one less thing for me to worry about. But then, after pointing out the relative lack of Biden’s public appearances, we are treated to a long discourse about how the U.S. intelligence services and the private sector have a lot of sophisticated techniques that could be used to “enhance” someone’s image and public appearances if they so chose.
What exactly is the point of this discourse? Since it follows the comments made about Biden having few public appearances, the reasonable conclusion is that these two things are somehow related. So how are they related? And what exactly is being claimed? That the Biden that we see on TV is not real? Tell us clearly. Don’t make us guess.
Now, I have no doubt that there are capabilities out there that could do a pretty good job of simulating Biden. But, of course, “pretty good” wouldn’t be nearly good enough.
And that’s where the “just asking questions” technique usually falters. As long as things are left relatively undefined, there’s really nothing to refute and people can read into it what they want to. It’s when you get down to brass tacks and specific claims are made that the whole thing usually falls apart. Case in point: if Sidney Powell had left her allegations against Dominion in the “just asking questions” realm, she would still be able to spew her story of voting machine malfeasance to a wide audience. But she made the mistake of making very specific claims (such as the connection between Dominion and Hugo Chavez). These were clearly shown to be nonsense which to any thinking adult has seriously damaged her whole story.
And if you want to claim that there is something nefarious going on (not that I know that that is what is being claimed since the article only hints at it), shouldn’t there be something more than just rampant speculation to back it up? If you want to claim that Biden’s image is being manipulated electronically, shouldn’t there be some reasonable theory as to how that is being pulled off?
This article sounds like a couple of people just “spitballing” ideas over beers after work. It’s not responsible journalism.
To me, this seems like just another attempt to paint Biden as too fragile for the job. OK, say that.
No, Joe Biden isn’t a hologram. And here’s a couple of other things that Joe Biden isn’t:
    1) Good at golf
    2) A narcissistic man-child who exhibits almost no human compassion or empathy
The first thing is of no concern to me. The second thing is a vast improvement from the past 4 years.

    1. You understand neither Biden nor Trump. Biden IS in fact a narcissist and also a bully; Trump “bullied” powerful people, Biden bullies the little guy, like the woman he called a “lying dog-faced pony soldier,” or the old man he challenged to a push-up contest. When Biden gets a question he doesn’t like, he advances on the person with a menacing demeanor, as if he’s going to punch them. Biden is a squib with tough-guy fantasies, like his absurd “Corn Pop” story and his “C’mon, man” efforts at street lingo. He also shows signs of being a racist; like most Democrats, probably including you, he thinks he owns blacks and can tell them what to do and think: “If you are even thinking of voting for Trump, you ain’t black.”

Trump probably has more REAL compassion than either Obama (who was a cold fish) and Biden, who is a fraud. Trump is quietly generous to people in need, whereas Democrats always blow their own horn. Trump was reluctant to engage troops in dubious adventures because he felt compassion for them and their families. His relatively few military actions were always calibrated to minimize or eliminate collateral damage.

      1. Your response puzzled me since it didn’t respond to any of the points that I made in critiquing the article which made up the largest part of my post. Instead you picked on my one dig at Trump. That agrees with my past observations that anyone can say almost anything until you cross the line in criticizing Trump in any way. That simply can’t be allowed.
You claim that Trump has more compassion than either Biden or Obama. Of course, this might be true, but there is scant evidence that it is. Compare Biden’s or Obama’s speeches at the memorial services that they spoke at with Trump’s. Oh, wait – Trump didn’t speak at any. But I mean it’s not like there were any mass shootings while Trump was President or anything (well, maybe just a few). I guess Trump’s compassion was just too great for that sort of moment. To be fair, Trump did go to El Paso and consoled the shooting victims there by telling them about the great rally that he held there and how many people attended. Because that’s what compassionate people do, talk about themselves. And then there’s the many moving tributes to victims of COVID that Trump presided over. Oh, wait – there weren’t any. You mention Trump’s great compassion for the military. But ask yourself this: how hard is it not to get into a tiff with a Gold Star family? Apparently it must be really hard because it happened to Trump at least twice (not counting his disgusting comments about McCain’s service to this country and not counting whether he actually called veterans “suckers” and “losers”). And I remember how many times that Biden and Obama (and really all past Presidents) got into tiffs with Gold Star families. Oh, wait – that didn’t happen either.
Since we can’t agree on who is worse, let’s let those that have worked with both Biden and Trump be the tie breaker. Sure both men have their defenders. But think of how many people that know Trump either personally or professionally have said some truly awful things about him. Mattis said that “Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people—does not even pretend to try. Instead, he tries to divide us.” That doesn’t sound like a very compassionate person. Kelly called him “the most flawed person he’s ever met”. And let’s not forget the large number of Republicans, many of whom actually served in the Trump Administration, who publicly called for Biden to win and called Trump a danger to this country. And let’s not forget those that knew Trump from the business world (Schwartz, Scaramucci, Cohen) who also excoriated him. I guess there’s only so much compassion they could stand.
I guess that I should just stick to reading articles that talk about how uncompassionate Biden is. Oh, wait – there aren’t any.
Anyone who has seen the clip of Biden consoling Corey Hixon, the son of Chris Hixon who died at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School knows what real compassion looks like.

  7. It’s interesting and amusing that you talk about leveling vague accusations with no proof, all while ignoring the multitude of lies and misrepresentations Democrats used against Trump.

He’s a RACIST, yet he’s a racist who received awards from the NAACP, had his picture taken, many times, with black leaders like Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton, and numerous black celebrities.

He’s an ANTI-SEMITE, but one who has a Jewish daughter, son in law and grandchildren. A daughter and son in law who also held positions of power in his administration

A particular favorite on mine is that he extorted the Ukraine, even though the alleged “victim”, who had a public pulpit and many reasons to say he was extorted, denied it. A fantasy that Democrats used to impeach him

Ms. Attkisson has a fairly comprehensive list of lies told about Trump by the American Pravda. Search for it on her site.

Of course he didn’t try to “unite” with his self-declared enemies. They vowed to impeach him before he ever took office. They, the DNC, the FBI/DOJ and Clinton, conspired among themselves and with foreign countries to smear him. A person can’t unite with others who vow to never unite with them. Satan claims Christians don’t “unite” with him either, especially considering that his version of “uniting” is capitulating to him.

So you prefer to have sweet nothings and lies whispered in your ear while those doing the whispering stab you in the back, then call it “compassion”. Compassion isn’t photo ops or exploiting tragedies for political purposes, it’s not keeping people oppressed under the guise of helping them (and for self-gratification)

If Gold Star families don’t want to be criticized nor questioned then they shouldn’t be voluntarily stepping into the public arena. Popping up like a gopher, hurling insults, then hiding, and more importantly hiding behind their dead family members isn’t something to be praised. Trump has done as much, if not more, for the military than Obama or Biden have. He’s been cheered at stadiums by the military.

On Thanksgiving, Obama called 10 members of the military (2 from each branch) from the White House. Trump on the other hand, after being lied about from the media flew to the troops in Afghanistan.

Yes, some in Trumps administration have spoken out publicly against him. Why? Probably because it’s the easy thing to do, it gets them good press, it’s “woke”. Bashing Trump is/was even more popular than the #MeToo movement and less trustworthy.

Of course the American Pravda machine won’t say anything bad about Obama nor Biden, just like they won’t EVER say a truth about Trump unless it can be turned negative. The negative things about Biden you gloss over (like Biden didn’t REALLY extort the Ukraine to protect his son), explain away (Hunters laptop, despite the proof to the contrary, is more Russian disinformation) or just ignore because you don’t like the messenger.

It is amusing though, that liberals are now claiming to be upset that the tactics you’ve used for at least the last 4 years are being used against you.

    1. Spot on, Tammy. What I’ve been saying for the past years to Liberals is that, if you don’t understand why Trump did something, you’re mistaking ‘errors’ for Strategy.

Now, the shoe is on the other foot, and people believe the lies from the Left, not realizing that their claims of innocence and “we’re from the Government and we’re here to Help” are just parts of a larger, more nefarious Strategy.

All in all, from everything I’ve seen from the Biden Administration, his EOs and nominations and appointments, boils down to one thing: If we can’t stop it and reverse it, the US is totally screwed and will resemble Russia or Venezuela within a decade or so. [long before we’re ALL driving electric cars OR we die from ‘global warming’]
