A Loudoun County, Virginia court has temporarily reinstated an elementary school gym teacher in northern Virginia who spoke out against the School Board’s proposed transgender policy.
The proposed transgender policy would reportedly require teachers to address students by their “preferred pronouns.”
The teacher, Tanner Cross, objected and made concisely-prepared comments during a School Board meeting. He was suspended from his job after the statements.
My name is Tanner Cross and I am speaking out of love for those who suffer with gender dysphoria. ‘60 Minutes’ this past Sunday interviewed over 30 young people who transitioned, but they felt led astray because lack of push back or how easy it was to make physical changes to their bodies in just three months. They are now detransitioning. It’s not my intent to hurt anyone, but there are certain truths that we must face when ready. We condemn school policies, like 8040 and 8035, because it would damage children and defile the holy image of God. I love all my students, but I will never lie to them regardless of the consequences. I’m a teacher, but I serve God first and I will not affirm that a biological boy can be a girl, and vice versa, because it is against my religion, it’s lying to a child, it’s abuse to a child, and it is sinning against our God.

Cross hired the conservative Christian legal group Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) to sue the Loudoun County School Board on the matter. He claimed the school system violated his constitutional right to exercise free speech and free religion.
The School Board argued during the court hearing that Cross was not suspended for expressing his beliefs, but for causing a disruption at the school.
Cross’ attorney argued that complaints from a small number of parents do not amount to a level of disruption that justifies punishing a teacher who exercised his free speech rights.
The judge reportedly said there was an “absence of evidence” that any disruption to school operations occurred and called the teacher’s suspension “unconstitutional” and “vindictive.”
The Court ordered Cross’ immediate reinstatement until a full trial can be held.

What are they teaching in those classes? Do they even teach Anatomy these days. I consider myself lucky to be born a Boomer. Men were men. And women were happy to prove that to them.
