Hi!
I liked Carl Saga's Demon Haunted World for a critical thinking exercise.
As an astronomer and as a business analyst for military weapon's systems, I like to remind people, their mind processes what it thinks it is seeing.
I have seen satellites move into the Earth's shadow almost simultaneously as another moved out of the shadow ... making the eye think it saw an object instantaneously and impossibly change direction. I have seen weather balloons disappear ... actually self-destructed ... when a naked eye observer would easily misinterpret.
UFO's are usually explainable if you know all the facts. We don't. We won't.
Case in point: If I have my facts correct, in the late 60's the US allowed Russian planes to fly over the US ... as we did to them ... no way in hell would they have admitted that in the late 60's. Not after the Cuban Missile Crisis. Lots of UFO sightings.
Respectfully,
Richard White
