Although some parts of the country are reporting "surges" in Covid-19 cases, the number has been on an overall declining trajectory in recent months.
The single biggest reason given for the lower number is "They're counting differently," according to the latest unscientific poll of 1,900 people at SharylAttkisson.com.
Most people said the decline is due to a combination of factors.
Thirty-two percent (32%) said the lower numbers are due to a combination of vaccination, herd immunity, and counting cases differently.
