Trump: “Why I’m suing big tech”

If Facebook, Twitter and YouTube can censor me, they can censor you—and believe me, they are.

Donald Trump

One of the gravest threats to our democracy today is a powerful group of Big Tech corporations that have teamed up with government to censor the free speech of the American people. This is not only wrong—it is unconstitutional. To restore free speech for myself and for every American, I am suing Big Tech to stop it.

Social media has become as central to free speech as town meeting halls, newspapers and television networks were in prior generations. The internet is the new public square. In recent years, however, Big Tech platforms have become increasingly brazen and shameless in censoring and discriminating against ideas, information and people on social media—banning users, deplatforming organizations, and aggressively blocking the free flow of information on which our democracy depends. 1. it won’t work and is a waste of time

what needs to be done is to carefully redefine the internet into two classes of service:
    1. “Information Services: websites etc that communicate using the internet; and
    2. The Public Internet: the cabling, switches, DNS servers, and ISPs that make the net work for all of us.

Services such as You-Tube, Facebook,Twitter and such are publishers just like The Times or Newsweek. They publish what they like. There are LOTS of Information Services on the Internet: use ones you like!

    1. And for the sake of public awareness, these respective services could be forced to present a prominent label (like the Surgeon General’s warning on cigarettes) simply making their role clear to all users, something that communicates that their platform is not objective or that it is edited to present the ideas that their executives want to promote. Likewise, media outlets should be held to clear and measurable standards of objectivity in order to be called “News”, with any violations requiring that they operate under a different designation, like “Opinions”. And these category designations should be required as part of their title (e.g. “CNN Opinions”, “Fox Opinions”, etc.)

  2. Thank you, Sharyl, for faithfully and fearlessly exposing our “Slanted” media for what they are, and doing your part to educate the American People.

  3. President Trump blew his chance. Very good policies, disastrous politics. Regardless of the amount of attention that he still gets from his base, he is unelectable. He should step aside and let a decent candidate (DeSantis) have a shot while the time is right. But Trump could play a valuable role in the bigger picture by prioritizing things like this – suing FB, Twitter, et al. He could also possibly do the country a huge service by funding an investigative endeavor to expose the criminal activities of: 1. Clintons and whoever else is involved in the assassinations of people (e.g. Christopher Sign).
    2. Bidens (of course), from their “Greenback Road” involvement with China to Ukraine, etc.
    3. Kamala – I don’t know what in particular, but she’s obviously crooked.
    4. Even going back to your “fast & furious” investigation. When Obama and Holder were finally forced to acknowledge the gun-running, their explanation was so incredibly ludicrous that the question of their real reason for that is crying out to be asked. It is a very common practice to create a problem to use as a justification for some secondary action. Was F&F designed to simply support the rationale that the Mexican civilians were truly fleeing life-threatening violence, so justifying greater migration? Or was it more sinister than that? It certainly was something that they had to keep secret.
Many initiatives that Trump could get behind (and let Kushner actually manage the operations) that would be truly beneficial in trying to disrupt the leftist takeover that is underway. But Trump running for president again would be very counterproductive.

  4. Suit is overdue but Trump is suing Big Tech so we don’t talk about his Big Lie and ignore what his CFO is going thru. He’s good at distracting folks from things not flattering to him.
