(FORUM) Whose information do you trust?

The following is commentary intended for discussion. Add your comments.

A lot of Americans have indicated they do not “trust” the information coming from certain government officials or federal health agencies when it comes to Covid-19.

So who do you trust right now?

When there are scientists and medical doctors who are saying opposing things; when there are seemingly contradictory findings from studies and data crunching– what do you believe?

How do you make important decisions amid this crisis in confidence in the information we receive?

  1. I cut the cord back in 08′ before it was common lexicon.
I used to listen to NPR everyday, morning to night.
After 2016, I switched them off. Their hyper-Left turn wokeness was nauseating, even for them.
Since then, a lot of alt-media. And that does not mean right-wing as most automatically associate alt-media with right-wing such as OANN, I just had to look them up to make sure I was calling them by the right name.
Miss Attkisson, Greenwald, Taibbi, Weiss, Charles H. Smith, Turley, Snyder and more.
Do I agree with everything they say? Of course not. I read what they say, make my own analysis and draw my own conclusions.
It was Mr. Charles H. Smith that brought to my attention that 90% of media is owned by just 6 corporations. 5 are left leaning. The 6th is Fox. Yet many Americans accuse Fox of bias and misinformation or disinformation. Disclaimer: I do not watch Fox, see the above cord cutting, or go to their web site for news. I would argue all 6 to include NPR are guilty of misinformation or disinformation.

As Miss Attkisson says, “Think for yourself.”

To Miss Attkisson, keep up the good work. Fight the good fight. I recommend your site as much as I can.
    Cheers!

  2. I havwen’t owned a Tv for many years.I listen to radio and use the internet.Fox is sill sometimes conservative, but has leaned left since Murdocks sons took over its operation. I don’t really trust any source without as much verification as I can get.Fauchis first public lie was told to keep,US citizens from buying all the masks hospitals needed, because they hadn’t rotated and kept up stock as they are required to do..No one was punished trere either.

  3. I trust when people say they have or had covid and they suffered like EC says. Also when she says the hospitals are overrun. I believe her before any government official or mainstream media source. I DO believe there is a virus, I just believe there is no way, short of living in a bubble to prevent its spread. I think some people will suffer terribly from the virus while others wont, much like any other virus. That’s just the way life is.

I trust people with the guts to ponder whether the virus was intentional or a lab accident instead of the narrative we are told to believe. I’m honest enough to say I dont know. But to not allow any discussion other than the acceptable narrative is what makes me suspicious. When theories and questions are crushed and removed from the community discussion, rather than the intellectual argument to prove the narrative we are told to follow, this makes me not trust that narrative. Truth can stand on its own without having to disappear so-called falsehoods.

I trust people with the guts to ask of democrats (and a lot of so-called “republicans”), “how did vaccines that were labeled “Trump’s deadly rushed vaccines” suddenly become mandatory medicine on January 20th?”. Anyone who pays attention and remembers things should be asking this question. I also distinctly remember Fauci at the onset of this plandemic telling the viewing public that cloth and paper masks are useless against a virus. I remember this distinctly because I always have N95 masks for seasonal allergy when mowing grass. I was torn with whether I should donate them or keep them for my own safety…Fauci and others all told us only the N95 or finer particulate respirators are effective against a virus. Yet we all live in a world of face pamper theater.

We are living in a world of lies and theater. I dont think we’ve been living in a republic at all, possibly from the founding. I used to carry my pocket constitution proudly. Sadly it’s all been a “Truman Show”, or has become one…

PATRICK BUCHANAN KEEPS the CIVIL CENTER

For those of you over forty years of age, have you noticed how the idea “center” ((or “moderate”)) keeps shifting leftward towards decadence [[ see Rep. Michael Forbes’ rant against Republican “extremists,” as he leaves the GOP for the “moderate” Democrat Party: “Rep. Forbes assails GOP,” Washington Times, p. C3, July 18 ]]?

The political/social c e n t e r in the Fifties has become “right-wing extremism” in the Nineties, as the nation radically has moved leftward. And one of my favorite columnists, Charles Krauthammer, tries to defend today’s evil c e n t e r by calling rightists “wing-nuts,” and while leftists define today’s low-culture hedonism as the “moderate” position to uphold [[ “W. Owes Popularity to Political Twist,” Richmond Times-Dispatch, July 18, 1999 ]].

If you could transport an American citizen living in, say, Los Angeles during the Fifties to the L.A. of the Nineties, he/she would think the nation had gone mad, had become very unsafe—very uncivil for families and communities, much like decadent Rome’s decline. And if you could transport a Nineties person to the Fifties, he/she would think America boring – if being entertained requires taking drugs and ingesting 4 hours of TV each day – but far more safe and civilized.

To understand why the definition of “center” is shifting leftward is to understand the feminist mind’s need for chaos, for the e-m-o-t-i-o-n-a-l stimulation that c h a o s brings—is to understand the masculinist mind’s weakness for seduction (( the Eve syndrome )) while needing order and the emotional/physical security it provides.

How do we define the term “civilized” or “gentleman” or “lady” in the Nineties? Don’t those terms appear to be useless today? Does anyone use them anymore?

How were they defined in the 1950s, 1850s, or 1750s?

Readers familiar with my scribblings know that, for me, all political and social conflicts can be reduced to that never-ending battle between mother and father (( feminine and masculine ))—between what I’ve termed “emoting feminine mind” and “rational masculine mind,” as they each correspond to one of the two hemispheres of the human brain (( left-hemisphere masculine defining the political right and right-hemisphere feminine defining the political left; keep in mind cross-lateralization, where the left hemisphere controls the right side of the body and right hemisphere the left )).

Readers also know that I believe civilizations rise and fall according to which hemisphere predominates. It appears that the dominance of one or the other is generationally cyclical (( to either build or destroy civil societies )) and millennially cyclical (( to either build or destroy entire civilizations )). The masculine side (( logical )) builds high-culture civilization and the feminine side (( emotional )) destroys it (( An example is ancient Greece, where at its cultural heights it eschewed emotion for facts and logic and, then, declined as Greek theater and Greek tragedy – the rise of feminism and feminine arts – shifted the balance leftward towards the emotional. Ancient Rome suffered the same fate, as do present-day Western democracies under growing feminism )).

Let’s all agree that the term “center” ought to be defined as high-culture civilization.

But what defines “high culture” in today’s America?:

    1. Is it the broken families; is it the broken communities that tyrannical government effected through forced integration of blacks into them; is it the broken schools that tyrannical government effected through forced busing of blacks into them; is it the kids killing kids on the streets and in schools; is it the Hollywood films and African-based rap, gangsta-rap and hip-hop driving the killings; is it the teen-age girls and boys fornicating to spread diseases and have babies; is it teen girls’ now-lawful acquisition of abortions without parental knowledge or consent; is it the “partial birth” infanticides; is it those human slaughterhouses, built to remedy “accidents” from one-night stands and rampant hedonism; is it the AIDS-spreading gay bathhouses sanctioned by “civil” governments; is it the XXX pornography that has gone mainstream, in schools and homes and stores; is it those grade-schoolers having oral sex to avoid having “sex”; is it the borderless “nation” and its unbridled immigration, destroying white Western civilization in America; is it the idea “consumership” replacing the idea “citizenship,” and “New World Order” replacing “sovereignty”; is it White House orgies and the “no big deal” attitude of the hedonist majority; is it the vulgarities replacing honor and moral virtue in both citizenry and statesmen; is it homosexuality as normalcy and heterosexuality as “rape”; is it the American Psychological Association trying to mainstream pedophilia and fatherless homes; is it the American Library Association trying to peddle pornography to children in public libraries; is it the . . . ?

And the list goes on and on and on to prove how decadent we’ve become through LEFTISM’s (( liberals’/libertines’ )) liberalism.

How do Charles Krauthammer and other “centrists” define “high-culture civilization”?

    Who’s really nuts?

Emoting feminist mind is evil. She
rants until she gets her way, then
    she calls the newly established
    decadence “centrist” or “moderate”–
then she rants again, and the rational
masculinist mind retreats again to shift
    the center further leftward until,
inevitably, we all find ourselves at
dead center of a dying civilization
    (( read a world history book! )).

Patrick Buchanan, Senator Robert Smith and other conservatives best represent the high-culture values that conceived and built the greatest civilization in history while reckless leftists raise up lechers and whores, not gentlemen and ladies.

But who cares, so long as we’re all having fun in a nation eyebrow deep in the feminists’ doo-doo-driven, leftward-shifting “center”?

    -Rick

    1. P.S.

      Oops!

      I’’ve posted wrong article.

-shall post it – rabbi’s list of 31 reasons not to take the shot – somewhere else on your page, later.

  5. Folks Ive got news from the other side. My husband and I are in the 8th day at hospital. We bioth have covid and he has double pneumonia. We dont know where we got it but please take this seriously. We both took hcq and overmectin and supplements. I dont have as bad an infection as he doesbut its been really really bad. The hospitals here are absolutely overrun. Please please take it seriously. Ive never been this sick in 68 years and neither has my husband.

  6. If they were shut down by You Tube, Google, FaceBook or Twitter then those are the people I want to hear from.

    FLCCC
    Bret Weinstein
    Dr McCullough
    Dr Geert Vanden Bossche
    Dr Robert Malone
    Dr Mercola

Most Definitely NOT the CDC, WHO, NIH, NIAID and most of all NOT Dr. FRANKENSTEIN-FAUCI. Dr Fauci to me has been continuing the work of the American Eugenics Society (AES) 1922-1972 as Americans we thought this despicable group of cohorts had been shut down for good. Instead they rebranded The Society changed its name in 1972 to Society for the Study of Social Biology; and again in 2008 to Society of Biodemography and Social Biology. https://ahrp.org/1913-u-s-eugenics-research-association/

  7. Unfortunately many people stopped (unironically) answering this question years ago.
I will only say that any sources listed here with any degree of influence will get targeted by smears, shills, trolls and possibly cyber-attacks. Virtually every source I use experiences this. Oftentimes they will come onto places like 4chan and ask this question. Not long after, the attacks start.
    We aren’t in Kansas anymore.
Haven’t been since at least Trumps campaign.

  8. I think Steve nailed it. It’s easier to list who I don’t trust than who I do trust. Once I am lied to or only given partial information with the intent to mislead, that source is done, which on the topic of covid19 seems to be almost everyone. I trust you, Sharyl, you seem to give information straight up. Lara Logan as well seems pretty much a straight shooter.

  9. I trust those who have a history of being right: Logan, Atkisson, York
I trust those who own up when they make a mistake.
I trust those who explain their positions clearly and without obfuscation or appeal to authority, e.g., Peterson, B Weinstein, even if I don’t agree with them in all things.

I do not trust those with a history of being wrong, e.g., Ehrlich, Holdren, Hanson, Fauci and many more.
I do not trust those who hide their data, e.g., scientific advisors to the FDA, tobacco researchers
I do not trust those who manipulate their data in non-transparent ways, e.g., NOAA, NASA, UK Met
I do not trust those who use the courts and the media to suppress contrary opinion: Michael Mann, NEA.
