(READ) Sen. Graham criticizes Biden release of strategic oil reserves

November 23, 2021

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today made this statement on the Biden Administration decision to release emergency oil reserves.

“What an abuse of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve by the Biden Administration. The program is designed to deal with national emergencies, not correct bad policy. The release of 50 million barrels is a Band-Aid because the root cause is the Democratic war on fossil fuel production in America.

“President Trump filled the reserves up with cheap oil. President Biden is releasing millions of barrels to control skyrocketing prices, which are the direct result of his bad policy choices. It won’t work, and we will end up having to eventually replace the released oil at higher prices.

“Finally, the Democrats’ Build Back Better proposal, which recently passed the House of Representatives, will dramatically decrease domestic oil production. It’s a bad bill for American energy independence, and it will make the American oil and gas supply worse in every way.”

  1. Seriously? Sen Graham is critical at the release of the oil reserves. I would recommend the Sen from SC to prioritize his criticism and comment on something else… like maybe outrage. Look at our southern border. Look at his Afghanistan exit. Look at Biden’s appointments. Look at the shutdown of the XL Pipeline. The list goes on and on and on…
Tired of criticisms, Where is the outrage from our elected representatives.

    1. I’m sick of Graham. I’ve been following him for years; he always talks a good game but always does nothing about it. Where is the Senate Investigation of Hunter Biden he said he was going to hold? Where is the investigation of Christopher Steele he was going to conduct? The only good thing I have ever seen him do was to stick up for Kavanaugh at the confirmation hearings.
