(POLL) Most say things seem more expensive now

Eighty-seven (87%) percent say things seem more expensive now, “Yes, it’s terrible!”

That’s according to our latest unscientific poll of 1,000 people conducted at SharylAttkisson.com.

Twelve percent (12%) stated they think things seem ‘somewhat’ more expensive now, while one (1%) said a ‘few’ things’ were more expensive.

In all, 100% report at least a few things are more expensive.

Less than 1% answered, they ‘didn’t know’ if things were more expensive now and fewer than 1% replied ‘not at all’.

  1. Asinine to say a few things are more expensive, when virtually everything has skyrocketed in price. For example, a local restaurant had a pork chop dinner at $13.00 for one PC, and $15.00, Now, they charge $15.00 for one, and $21 for two, a 40% increase. Subway had recently raised their top sandwiches to $8.69 for a footlong. They are now $12.00+ for the same, a 25% increase. It is the same in the supermarkets, where everything has increased markedly. Same story wherever you go to shop or eat. The least increase seems to be about 10%. Those making these comments seem to be in denial.

  2. Meats, especially beef, is far more expensive. I used to find steaks for $9/lbs but these days they are often $24/lbs. Other items like frozen goods have gone up 10% or more recently.

  3. Nobody mentions the Medicare premium goes up, up, up every time the Cost of Living increase in Social Security does. Like no one notices.
The government giveth, and the government take th away. All on the same day.
