(FORUM) Will same Biden administration officials be handling Ukraine withdrawal?

The following is commentary intended for discussion. Add your comments.

After the botched U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, no U.S. officials were publicly held accountable or moved out of the chain of command.

Now, the Biden administration is negotiating another withdrawal of U.S. personnel from a foreign country: this time from Ukraine.

Is it a fair question to ask whether these same officials are competent to handle the situation?

Because all the same people are apparently in charge, it could be said that perhaps they benefit from lessons personally learned.

On the other hand, since nobody really took strong accountability after Afghanistan; after dozens of deaths of innocent civilians; after the mistaken drone attack on a car full of Afghans including children; killing them all; after 13 U.S. service personnel were murdered by a suicide bomber during the chaotic exit– do they even think they could have done anything differently? Do they even really know what went wrong?

  1. It’s not Biden it’s Obama that calls the shots. If the actions are meant to hurt Americans or America consider it mission accomplished.

  2. They don’t have to account for anything they do. They are in charge, and don’t care about anyone or anything, especially Americans. This isn’t a Presidency, it’s a dictatorship of elites.
