An Islamic extremist man in Texas, who some law enforcement officials describe as a “terrorist,” took four people hostage in Texas at a Jewish synagogue. Among the hostages: the synagogue’s rabbi.
Authorities were able to rescue the hostages; the suspect was killed.
Officials did not immediately release the name of the suspect, which tends to be the case when the suspect is an Islamic extremist.
From BBC:
The [British] hostage-taker was heard demanding the release of Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani neuroscientist who is currently serving an 86-year prison term in the US, law enforcement officials told local media. Siddiqui was convicted of trying to kill US military officers while in custody in Afghanistan.
