An overwhelming majority of voters say America is the best country in the world, even though many of them also say the country is “systemically” racist and sexist.
That’s according to Rasmussen Reports.
Survey results indicate that 80% of likely U.S. voters are proud to be an American, including 58% who are “very proud.”
Only 19% say they are not proud to be an American.
Majorities of all political categories – 90% of Republicans, 70% of Democrats and 80% of independent voters – say they are at least somewhat proud to be American.
However, significantly more Republicans (74%) than Democrats (44%) or Independents (55%) consider themselves “very proud” to be American.
When asked if voters agree with the statement that “America is the best country in the world,” 77% agreed, including 52% who “strongly agreed”, while 21% disagreed.
Along party lines, 90% of Republicans, 68% of Democrats and 72% of independents said they “somewhat agree” that America is the best country in the world.
However, this same survey found that 53% of likely voters at least somewhat agreed that “America and most of its institutions are systemically sexist in favor of men.”
Almost half of the respondents (48%) agreed that America is “systemically” racist.
Nearly a third of voters – and a majority of those under 40 – favored giving the United Nations authority to protect civil rights in the U.S.

Being “proud” of America in 2022 is like being “proud” of Sodom
one week before it was wiped out.
Agreed.. Maybe America was never great.. maybe it was all propaganda.. Our whole system sets all of us up to be indebted, tracked, servitude forever into the system.. From the time your footprint is put on a birth cert., till the time your name ends up on a death cert.. all part of the collective “hive.” And try to escape to real sovereignty? Its not allowed. … must stay part of the hive, whether you like it or not.
Good one Lon Spector. We have good people in the US but we have one of the worst governments. A government who tells tou one thibg and does another. Plus they are always sending tax money away from the US. Border walls for Israel, Jordon, Ukraine but nothing to stop drugs, sex traffickers and illegals from onvading the US
