(POLL) Most Americans will decorate for the holidays

Dated: December 18, 2022 by Sharyl Attkisson Leave a Comment

More Americans expect to have a Christmas tree this year, although slightly fewer will decorate their homes for the holiday season.

That's according to the latest Rasmussen Reports.

The survey found that 74% of American adults plan on putting up a Christmas tree in their home this year.

That’s up from 72% last year, but short of the all-time high of 78% in 2018.

Seventy-one percent (71%) plan to decorate their home this holiday season – down from 74% last year – while 19% won’t decorate and another 10% have not made up their minds yet.

More women than men seem to be in the yuletide spirit this year as 77% of women said they will decorate their homes for the holidays, compared to 66% of men.

Similarly, 78% of women said they would have a Christmas tree this year, compared to 71% of men.
