POLL: Most do not want their information fact-checked/censored

Almost nobody wants their information “fact-checked/censored.”

That’s according to the latest unscientific poll of 1,262 people at SharylAttkisson.com.

Nearly 100% (99.6%) said they want their information fact-checked or censored by “Nobody; I can do it.”

Only 2 people (0.16%) said they want their information fact-checked/censored by Big Tech. Two other people said they want it done by “Dems or Repubs.”

Only one person (0.08%) said he wants the news to fact-check or censor his information.

The findings fly in the face of a growing trend, particularly since Donald Trump entered the political scene, for media, Big Tech, government, and other third parties to play the role of “fact checker” and take it upon themselves to tell people what they should believe, and what information they are allowed to access.

The trend of aggressively shaping the information landscape in a way that is uninvited by most people is actually a thinly-veiled propaganda effort on behalf of corporate and political interests to censor information that is harmful to their financial or political interest, and to further information — sometimes blatant disinformation, such as the case of false information about Trump and Covid.

With Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter, he has pledged to put a halt to the political censorship and fake fact checks.ust
