I am not surprised by the amount of people who lied, especially if it was to a close friend or family member.

I lied. And will continue to. One afternoon I was talking to two of my neighbors in my back yard. One asked (in front of the other) 'You got your shot(s), right'? I said 'Absolutely'. I hated to do it, but I know better. The sad thing is that both of these people are very well educated. More so than I. Logic dictates that some people cannot accept you if you don't believe the way they do. Other people will report you to the necessary authorities or shade you if they think you are a vector for disease. Look at what happened to the Jews....It is better if people appear to be towing the line. Especially if it won't hurt you to fib.

Mark Twain once said โ€œNever argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.โ€
