(READ) DC passes law allowing illegal immigrants to vote; Republicans in Congress want to stop it

Washington D.C. city leaders recently passed a controversial law called “the Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2022” that would permit illegal immigrants to vote in local elections.

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) and Rep. James Comer (R-Kentucky) are leading an effort to block the law from taking effect.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is among a group of US senators who have signed onto the Senate resolution.

Nothing should be more offensive to the American people than allowing illegal immigrants to participate in our elections. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, it always does.  I completely support Senator Cotton’s efforts to stop the D.C. Council from allowing illegal immigrants and other foreign nationals to vote.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)

If the resolution passes the House and Senate, and is signed by President Biden, it would stop the DC law.

However, since the Senate is led by Democrats and Biden is a Democrat, and they may approve of the DC law, stopping it could be a long shot.

Read the proposed law here or below:

  1. Allowing illegal to vote in our country SHOULD ONLY BE VOTED ON BY EXISTING VOTERS IN OUR COUNTRY. We don’t need Democrats sending boxes of mail in absentee ballots over seas, including the ones already in our country (illegally) to be telling us anything what so ever!
Me? I’m a Viet-Nam disabled veteran, still fighting for what my (?) Government promised all draft demanded members of our era when we (want to or not) signed up.
Write a story on our Gov’t members who served in our armed forces from the 1950’s until today and include their family members too. Members of our government should have some kind of idea of how the military system works from personal experience and how they waste so much tax payers dollars.

    1. My tombstone will most likely beat a response to my reply from you, mainly because of how busy you are with more important subjects, which in retrospect is okay with me, but I still think the American tax payers should have more information on how their tax dollar$ are wasted.
