A federal judge has rejected the request by New York prosecutor Alvin Bragg for a restraining order against Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio).
In a 50-page lawsuit, Manhattan District Attorney Bragg, had said that Jordan and other Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee were guilty of “an unprecedentedly brazen and unconstitutional attack” of his investigation into Donald Trump.
Bragg recently spearheaded a controversial indictment of the former president. Jordan has been seeking testimony from Bragg as part of an investigation into whether the prosecutor used federal funds in a politically motivated attack on Trump. Bragg says he considered that inappropriate interference and sought the restraining order.

1:23-cv-3032 (MKV) ORDER MARY KAY VYSKOCIL, United States District Judge: This action was commenced this afternoon with the filing of a complaint by Plaintiff Bragg [ECF No. 1], and an accompanying motion, brought on by a Proposed Order to Show Cause, for a Temporary Restraining Order and a Preliminary Injunction [ECF No. 7], together with a supporting memorandum of law, [ECF No. 8]. The moving papers reference a Declaration of Theodore J. Boutrous, Jr., but the Court has not been provided with this document yet, nor is it on the docket. The Court also has not been provided with a copy of the subpoena purportedly served on Mr. Pomerantz. The Court declines to enter the proposed Temporary Restraining Order and Order to Show Cause. It is HEREBY ORDERED that Plaintiff shall effect service on the Defendants of the Complaint together with a copy of this Order, the Plaintiff’s motion, and any supporting papers, on or before 9:00 PM tonight.
It is FURTHER ORDERED that any response by Defendants to the motion shall be served and filed by April 17, 2023 at 9:00 AM.

It's now April 13th, and the court's Order references a hearing on the 11th and actions Ordered to be taken on or before 9pm (presumably on April 11th --- so this news seems old in comparison to the court's Order. Any follow-up coming?
To me it appears that the original legal issues were conducted on 4/11. It's now past that date, true. However it's also stated that "It is FURTHER ORDERED that any response by Defendants to the motion shall be served and filed by April 17, 2023 at 9:00 AM. ". While Bragg' s filing lack merit (lack of stated documents) and lengthy BS motion was denied.
Wondering what the 4/17 date will bring forth.
George Soros must be vary proud - another of his 'prosecutors' is like a bull in a china cabinet with our constitutional norms and legal precedents. It's a good test case, with all of these prominent people involved, if Bragg is not brought very low after all of this then the American people will know that we have lost the rule of law and the Republic won't be far behind.
Bragg should not be permitted to practice law in any capacity. he has shown that he hates justice.
If this is the competency of Bragg and his team of lawyers, it would seem an easy vitory for Trump.
Bragg files a motion yet fails to provide the documentation the judge would need to make a ruling. No suprise that Bragg and the NY office is this incompetent, the only reason the Grand Jury acquitted Trump was the political ideology of the Manhattan pool they were selected from.
Unfortunately this is the same pool of miscreants who may try Trump!
Only an honest judge will halt this misuse of our legal system.
