(POLL) Most voters don’t think Trump will go to prison

Even though a majority of voters think the multiple investigations of Donald Trump will eventually result in criminal charges against him; far fewer expect the former president to do jail time.

That’s according to the latest Rasmussen Reports.

The survey finds that 58% of likely U.S. voters think it is likely that investigations of Trump will lead to criminal charges against him, including 30% who think charges are “very likely.”

Thirty-four percent (34%) say criminal charges against Trump are unlikely, including 11% who believe such charges are “not at all likely.”

Among other probes, Trump is currently being investigated by federal authorities for his handling of classified documents, and by a Georgia grand jury over the 2020 election.

However, just 28% of voters think Trump will be sentenced to prison, including 11% who say it’s “very likely.”

Sixty-two percent (62%) believe it’s unlikely Trump will be sentenced to prison, including 27% who say it’s “not at all likely.”

Forty-four percent (44%) think Trump is being investigated because of actual crimes he has committed, while 50% believe the government is just trying to stop Trump from running for president again.

  1. Of course not. With the Republicans taking over the House the real culprits are turning out to be the Democrats. Woman problems Tara Reid accusing President Biden and not being heard. Hilary and her top secret email mishandling and behind the the fake Russia misinformation. President Biden with top secret documents in his personal home as a Senator and VP. the list goes on and on.

  2. Ahmed Ali Asgher

I am not American citizen, but I read a lot in three languages. I don’t think Trump will face a prison sentence. He might be questioned by the Senate. Question is: Why and for what reasons. Is it because he didn’t start a war and/or he shook hands with Putin and Kim ? He may not be perfect but compared to others like dithery old Biden, womaniser Clinton, or that Dummy George Bush who was taken over by the NeoCons. In a crooked road like that, it is hard to be driving in a straight line.
