(POLL) Biden’s age presents problems for 2024 run

Now that 80-year-old President Joe Biden has announced his plan to seek reelection, a majority of voters say they expect his age to be a problem.

That’s according to Rasmussen Reports.

The survey finds that 73% of likely US voters say they believe that Biden’s age will be a “serious” problem in terms of his chances of winning reelection, including 49% who say they expect it to be a “very serious” problem.

Twenty-five percent (25%) say they don’t think Biden’s age poses a serious problem for his reelection chances.

Eighty-eight percent (88%) of Republicans, 61% of Democrats, and 70% of voters not affiliated with either party say they believe Biden’s age will be at least a somewhat serious problem for his chances of staying in the White House after 2024.

  1. President Trump can speak on any policy for two hours non stop. Would be interesting to see President Biden on CNN for an hour. As long as they don’t ask him hard hitting questions like “whats your favorite ice cream.”

  2. Age in and of itself should not be a limiting factor on who is eligible or capable to be president. If a person is still sharp and capable of doing the job, ANY job not just president, he can have at it. However, if it is obvious a person is not capable because of some form of cognitive decline, as is the current president, who obviously was in decline prior to the election as evidenced by his lack of campaigning during that election cycle (and probably the upcoming one) he should not be eligible. The enormous question that must be faced is who determines what is ineligible and how is that to be determined? Had Joe Biden actively campaigned, it would have become obvious to any reasonable voter that he was not capable, Those who put Biden up for president, INCLUDING his wife and family, should be ashamed of themselves. It is elder abuse. Those ill informed, low information voters also bear responsibility for the current state of our nation. “A properly functioning democracy depends on a well informed electorate.” Jefferson.

  3. You don’t need a survey to tell whether a person is fit to serve or not regardless of age. You can look at President Biden and Senator Feinstein’s cognitive impaired faces and in a moment conclude that they don’t have capacity to serve. But power is addictive and it corrupts. Obviously they are shielded from their shortcomings by loyal staff but where is media exposing the candidates’ deficiencies.
