(POLL) Americans fear US govt. surveillance as much as foreign surveillance

A majority of Americans– almost as many as fear being spied on by foreigners– say they worry that the US government is spying on them.

That’s according to Rasmussen Reports.

The survey finds that 74% of likely U.S. voters say they are concerned about the US government spying on American citizens. That includes 49% who say they are “very concerned.”

Twenty-five percent (25%) say they aren’t concerned about domestic spying.

Eight-two percent (82%) of voters say they are concerned about foreign governments spying on the US, including 52% who say they are “very concerned.”

Seventeen percent (17%) say they aren’t concerned about foreign espionage.

Republicans are most likely to be concerned about both foreign and domestic spying.

Sixty-seven percent (67%) of Republicans, 40% of Democrats, and 49% of voters not affiliated with either major party say they are “very concerned” about foreign governments spying on the US.

Seventy percent (70%) of Republicans, 28% of Democrats, and 50% of unaffiliated voters say they are “very concerned” about the US government spying on American citizens.

  1. Sharyl this article ? Between Gov. around the World stealing us all blind, and as well as Data Brokers, Hackers, Corrupt Big tech and others as well in the past 50 years of finance scandals. Documented through out the years, I’d say your kids and grand kids is in big trouble in Constitutional rights Law ? We need to go after big tech and restore American’s Constitutional rights to privacy rights, and split up all social media companies and big tech companies… ” Hey it’s your grand kids ruined Futures from all the World’s bad people, trying to make the average American citizen go to the cross to pay for rest of the Worlds economic Sin’s of past 50 years….( All these wars and Viruses causing Trillions in damages, as well as other billions every year to year in Cyber crime damages —>” Every Year, it adds up, Greed, crime and hate !

  2. This article and my earlier post for you to scratch your Heads and think about ?. You watch when this Russia and Ukraine War is finely over, Russia won’t have a massive Debt Clock ever, for al the economic damage they caused ? The same with other countries in past 50 years = A Dog that pees on self leaves little marked Territory for Higher Ground ???

The problems associated with spying are not only the problems associated with spying. The natural human inclination is to over-state one’s position. The problem with crime statistics is that the person with the power can make crime statistics say anything they want. The problems with follow up spy reports is the same. The FBI wanted to arrest the mole who was giving away secrets. They focused on a CIA Agent and essentially ruined his life. Later the real bad guy was exposed. It was an FBI Agent who was selling secrets to Russia. The problem the FBI has now, is this – The secrets have been sold and the double agents have been given death sentences. They are dead. So what can the FBI do to answer to the public and somehow ameliorate the mess? They can send agents to law schools and speak the entire truth, and maybe even apologize. But, they must not send arrogant agents who make false claims or understate the facts – They must tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth, or stay home. The time for honor is now.

  4. First of all, they’re spying on everyone.
Second, you should fear your own government spying on you way more than foreign governments!
There was a time when all Americans knew this.
This is what happens when you have a generation, and a half of citizens being “taught” and brainwashed by treasonous liberals.

  5. So when will we decide to do something about it? We do not have 74% of those eligible voting and certainly not even 50% voting for representatives who support the US Constitution, which was created to protect individual liberties.

Mr. Hussman states it clearly that the time for honor is now. Unfortunately there seems to be little honor left in US Citizenship and even less in Congress!
