Parents don’t leave their rights at the door of the schoolhouse.
That's according to an overwhelming majority of California voters, most of whom also support laws requiring schools to notify parents if a student expresses gender confusion.
That's according to a survey by Rasmussen Reports and Real Impact.
The survey finds that 82% of California likely voters disagree with the statement, “A person loses their parental rights when a child enters public school,” including 69% who "strongly disagreed."
Only 12% say they believe parental rights are lost when children enter public school.
Eighty-four percent (84%) of California voters say they would support a local law that requires parents to be notified of any major change in a child’s physical, mental, or emotional health or academic performance, including 66% who say they would "strongly support" such a law.
Only 12% say they would oppose a law requiring parental notification.

It seems to me that it doesn't matter what these polls say.... the politicians will vote for whatever feels good to themselves... and voters be damned!
Let's take this concept of state run education back to it's roots. The original settlers wanted their children educated and thus collectively "hired" an instructor for their children. Said instructor was to deliver the product expected from those who hired them. At no time did parents relinquish their parental rights and at no time was the instructor empowered to dictate to parents. Parental "rights" are just that, "rights"; they aren't open to a vote
The poll implies in CA parents have lost their parental rights. I am not sure if that is the case in CA, if it is the case can we have a few examples.
Phil,
Please Consider :
“Parental Rights“ ?—now a
deadly joke on the citizenry !
Parents have NO rights, while a
child in their care may simply
call CPS, and claim physical
abuse for, say, getting a swat
on the bottom in response to
hitting his/her sibbling.
Parents have NO rights, while a
teacher may see their child’s
bruises from boisterous play—
then call CPS for an intrusive,
humiliating investigation.
Parents have NO rights, while a
school library may shelve books
grossly inappropriate for A N Y
school-age child ( K-thru-12 );
and while EVERY child able to
operate a cell phone or computer
is just TWO CLICKS away from
seeing mind-twisting sexual per-
versions of every kind—on
DuckDuckGo or Google.
Parents have NO rights, N O W
that Marxian Libertine Liberals’
HAVE mainstreamed S & M Porn
and grossly EXAGGERATED
genitalia (( what must young boys
think ? )) — via the 3rd-World-
Occupied U.N.’s program of
SEXUALIZING young children
( “Kids have sexual rights, too,”
claim those U.N. GROOMERS ) —
HAVE mind-molested America’s
parents with ANYTHING-goes sex !;
or with Attend-an-Open-Air ORGY !;
or by teaching third-graders what
“fisting” means !; or to
simply ”LUST whom you want to
LUST,” argues GROOMER Joe Biden,
recently (( yes, make a verb from
that grossly misapplied term, “LOVE,”
—and embrace any form of
degenerative /
perverted /
disease-spreading /
”RAINBOW”
sexuality ! )).
So long as females have the
lawful right to B A B Y C I D E (kill)
their wombed babies ( don’t use
that Lefty, nasty, deflective
term, “abortion” )—the Founders’/
Framers’ America shall remain in
STEEP moral/cultural decline.
Planned Babycide provides no
“reproductive services,” folks, but
DE-PRODUCTIVE ones.
Get clue, America !

It clearly appears the way people answer polls does not match their personal behavior. One just has to consider Jerry Brown, several terms, Gavin Newsom, survived a recall and will likely be reelected. This tells us the voters of CA vote against the way they respond to polls, particularly when it comes to a moral issue such as protecting children. 82% really, ; (
Let me know when 82% of CA parents join a Mom's For Liberty charter to take back their children's education from the "Woke" mob!
Let’s assume these polls are accurate. To me, it isn’t the percentage of those who support laws for this. It’s the percentage who don’t think their should be parental rights. I think 12% saying there shouldn’t be parental rights over school’s teaching is a frighteningly high number!
