Republican voters overwhelmingly favor former President Donald Trump as their party’s nominee in next year’s primaries.
That’s according to the latest Rasmussen Reports.
The national survey found that 57% of likely Republican voters would vote for Trump, while 13% would vote for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis as the GOP nominee.
Other 2024 candidates have single-digit support among Republican voters: Former Vice President Mike Pence (5%), former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (5%), South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott (4%), former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley (4%), former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (4%) and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy (3%).
Trump’s lead among GOP voters has only slightly diminished since May, when he got 62% in a six-candidate primary field.
Among all likely voters, 68% say it is likely they will vote in the 2024 Republican presidential primaries, including 56% who say it is “very likely.”
Among those who say it is “very likely” they’ll vote in next year’s GOP primaries, Trump leads with 49%, with DeSantis at 12% and Christie at eight percent (8%).

I am a Republican, but I will be voting for Robert Kennedy JR. in the primaries.
I usually vote red, but I like RFK Jr and what he is bringing to the discussion. Trump has abandoned the day after the 5th of January political prisoners and is ignoring the fallout from the lockdowns and the jabs. The Previous Trump would’ve taken that on, but strangely he isn’t. Seems odd to me.
What exactly can Trump do for the J6 political prisoners? He has stated he will pardon them if elected.
I agree with you that Trump should admit the problem with the jabs although he has stated he will never issue a mandate. He also pushed ‘Right to Try’ drugs and therapuetics (he advocated hydroxycloroquine and ivermectin early on during COVID).
Will you retun to vote for the Republican nominee in the General?
Too bad. Other viable candidates are being demeaned by corporate media. Their voices are worthy of being heard and their positions debated and considered. The corporate media and political operatives are making sure there is no oxygen left in the room.
And we will be expected to support things like ‘the Ukrainian conflict will be resolved in 24 hours,’ obliterating any alternatives worthy of consideration.
And Democrats will have their favorite ‘orange man’ as their opponent, shifting focus away from having to defend their destructive and divisive policies and rhetoric that have led to extreme inflation, the Ukraine conflict, an increase in racial division, massive and uncontrolled migration across the southern border, increase in crime via defunding law enforcement and reducing criminal punishment, peddling inappropriate material to grade school kids in the public school system, using institutions like the FBI and IRS to intimidate ideological opponents to the Administration, and especially to obscure what appears to be the biggest scandal since Watergate with Biden funneling tens of millions of foreign money through 22 LLCs for yet undefined services.
I predict every issue you mention will be brought up by the GOP candidate.
Of course the lame media will cover for the leftists but it is imperative we force those issues.
Let’s hope McCarthy follows through on an Impeachment inquiry and subsequent Impeachment of Myorkas, Garland, Wray and Biden; even if there is zero chance of conviction in the Senate. It may be the best, if not the only way to force the media to report the corruption.
I did not vote for Trump the first time he ran because I have found that none of these people in government deserve trust. I voted third party while holding my nose. I did however listen to all the debates and researched the info on Mr Trump. The corrupt in government on both sides as well as the corrupt mainstream media and the useless loud mouth tools in Hollywood all started in on Trump like a bunch of rabid dogs which made me think he may be the man for this job. I watched what he said and did and at about half way into his term I was on board and supporting him. In 2020 I supported and voted for him. I watched all the shady things related to the election fraud and you will NEVER convince me that Biden got 81 million votes. The illegal and corrupt nonstop attempt to destroy Trump by all the same corrupt lying weasels in politics, media and Hollywood tells me he is not only the right man to fix the country but it tells me they really fear him. My guess is he knows all the dirt on all the dirtbags in office. In 2024 I will only vote for President Trump even if he runs from jail or if I have to write his name in because they keep it off the ballot. It’s time for the people to take our country back from these criminals and President Trump is our William Wallace. We can do this by the ballot box or on the field of battle but it needs to be done before we are totally enslaved to these tyrants.
