(POLL) Republicans hold 10-point lead on issue of immigration

Nearly half of voters rate President Joe Biden as doing a poor job on immigration, an issue where the GOP maintains a strong advantage.

That’s according to the latest Rasmussen Reports.

The survey found that 48% of likely U.S. voters trust Republicans more to handle immigration, while 38% trust Democrats more.

Another 14% are not sure.

In April, the GOP held a 12-point lead on immigration, 50% to 38%.

Thirty-three percent (33%) of voters rate the way President Biden is handling issues related to immigration as good or excellent, while 48% give him a poor rating, just slightly improved from April.

Eighty-two percent (82%) expect the issue of immigration to be important in the 2024 presidential election, including 47% who believe the issue will be “very important.”

Only 16% don’t think immigration will be an important issue in next year’s election.

  1. If you lean Democrat and care about America, you want a secure border (not open borders). You favor Republicans for the survival of America!! What are the 38% Democrats thinking about!!!!!!

This is not about Democrats or Republicans…. it’s the survival of America.

    1. As I see it the survival of America is at stake.
However, suppose you are one of those that believe the world would be better of without an America existing as a sovereign nation? I would say the vast a majority of the Democrats fall into this category. Then there are the RINOs., not just in Congress,

I believe there are some new election laws that were hidden in the last spending bill passed by Congress in December 2022 that we have not seen yet. A friend heard about them and filed a FOIA suit, and he got a copy of them, pronouns, prepositions, and adjectives remained, the rest had been redacted.

  2. That the republicans merely hold a 10 point lead on the “open border” democrats tells me that the republicans have done a dismal job in the past and are doing an even worse job now explaining their position!

  3. Thank you for using the correct word “immigration” in your reporting. Most news organizations have gone right along with the linguistic maneuver by using “migration.”
