Donald Trump; Congressional earmarks

Right now, former President Donald Trump is the likely Republican nominee for president in 2024. Sunday, he joins Full Measure for a wide-ranging interview on many provocative topic.

Trump says he has plans to do more than short up the US Southern Border. He says he will also round up the millions of illegal aliens crossing into the US under President Biden, and conduct mass deportations.

I also ask him what he’d do differently with Covid, whether he thinks he’ll go to prison, who he thinks will be the Democrats’ nominee, whether he would pardon Hunter Biden, and what he thinks about Democrat Robert F Kennedy Jr., who’s also running for president.

Donald Trump is next in our series of candidate interviews.

Also Sunday, I’ll take a look at an old and controversial practice members of Congress have revived. I first started reporting on “earmarks” nearly 20 yrs ago, highlighting questionable spending of taxpayer millions by Congress for pet projects in their home districts, often to help donors or to curry favor with voters on projects that don’t benefit US taxpayers at large. In fact, some members of Congress credited (or blamed) my reporting with ultimately prompting a ban on earmarks.

Well, earmarks are back. And, once again, both Democrats and Republicans are partaking in the pleasure.

I’ll have the last details and totals.

See you Sunday!

We never waste your time rehashing the same news you’ve heard all week. Find out where and when to watch on TV or online by clicking this link: How to Watch Full Measure

  1. Candidate comments – sounds good, but no new laws. Executive orders are meaningless if they are cancelled by the next president.

How will President Trump get reelected? The five states (AZ, GA, PA, MI, WI) have not legislated changes to their respective illegal voting – no true controls.
