School choice; Legalizing prostitution; Unseen crisis

Across the country, school districts have been swept by parent-driven school choice movements.

Parents are pushing to be able to use a student’s designated funds to attend the school of their choice, even private and religious schools.

Other proposals seek to let parents choose any public school in any district to send their children.

Despite the popularity of “school choice,” not all campaigns to install it have met met with success.

Sunday on Full Measure, we’ll explore why.

Also, amid the national lobbying efforts to legalize gambling, sports betting, and use of marijuana and other illegal drugs, some are pushing to legalize or decriminalize prostitution. Lisa Fletcher reports from New York City.

And we’ll take a look at a new documentary, “The Unseen Crisis,” which examines censorship of one of the most important issues of our time: Covid vaccine injuries.

See you Sunday!

We never waste your time rehashing the same news you’ve heard all week. Find out where and when to watch on TV or online by clicking this link: How to Watch Full Measure

  1. “Also, amid the national lobbying efforts to legalize gambling, sports betting, and use of marijuana and other illegal drugs, some are pushing to legalize or decriminalize prostitution.”

“Other” illegal drugs? Reminder: Recreational cannabis is legal in nearly half the states, and medical use is legal in four out of five states. (Another reminder: making alcohol, which has far more negative effects than cannabis, illegal at the federal level required a constitutional amendment, meaning that until Progressives fully took control of the federal government, it was clear that the constitution didn’t give Congress the authority to ban substances.)

While every drug has the potential to be abused and can have side effects, please don’t include cannabis in the same sentence as “other illegal drugs” like heroin.

Also interesting that you seem to conflate prostitution, which is simply a voluntary transaction between two consenting adults, with drug use.

Socially conservative bias on full display here.

Would prefer a stronger bias toward personal liberty and self-ownership.

      1. That’s no longer prostitution, is it? It’s more accurately described as slavery, which is illegal and not germane to legalizing VOLUNTARY TRANSACTIONS between two CONSENTING adults.

  3. what struck me as weird when I came to the US, was that parents cannot chose where to send their children to school. Europe does not have anything like that, but of course, does not have school busses either. We had to get to school on our own, by foot, bicycle, or with a regular line bus. Unless for interns, I had also never heard of having to pay to go to school, like some do here. I do remember that in the Netherlands, you cannot chose your doctor or hospital! that is probably even worse.

    1. “Europe does not have anything like that”

Hasty generalization there. The Netherlands isn’t all of Europe. There are private schools in Austria‎, Croatia‎, Denmark‎, France‎, Germany‎, Greece‎, Hungary, Ireland, Italy‎, Norway‎, Portugal, Spain‎, Sweden‎, Switzerland, Turkey, and United Kingdom‎.

      1. Ingrid C Durden and Ted,

        From my “Perfect Monkey Syndrome”
        essay ( 1994 ) :

        – snip –

If public-funded vouchers are given to
minority children to attend private or
        religious schools, four changes shall
        ensue :

        (1)
        the dumbing-down of private education

        (2)
the intrusion of federal officials in the oper-
        ation of private schools

        (3)
the further erosion of White Civil Society
( the foundation of this civilization )

        (4)
the unconditional surrender to the Perfect-
        Monkey Syndrome in America.

When BIG BIG PHARMA and the UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA partnered with Minneapolis Minnesota elementary school teachers; The USA Military; and the CIA, to alter the minds of children, a big problem began. Calhoun Elementary School was the scene of just some of the reckless abuses against children who were tortured and abused by way of mind control techniques, including electroshock therapy and LSD. The abusers had high level support by US Army officers. By 1958 the horrific nazi tactics used to Kontrolle Minds in Germany had been successfully transferred to the USA. Another killing field was thereby established. CIA leader and convicted criminal RICHARD HELMS no doubt had some interesting conversations with the LSD suppliers such as SIDNEY GOTTLIEB and ROBERT LASHBROOK, as the plan to destroy mk/ultra files was hatched. Why would anyone from the government want to destroy millions of records? Probably because the government itself had committed war crimes and murder against its own citizens, and the players wanted to avoid prison. Literally millions of American lives have been ruined by the maniacs in charge. Don’t even consider that transparency is around the corner – it is not, and the secrets only continue to get worse. Yes, I would prefer to send my children to a school wherever the CIA and Big Pharma is not.
