Former rival appears in NH alongside Trump

Republican Vivek Ramaswamy appeared beside Donald Trump at Trump’s campaign rally in New Hampshire Tuesday night, a day after Ramaswamy dropped out of the race and endorsed Trump.

Ramaswamy spoke to themes of the deep state, reverse racism, government deriving its power from the people, and other touchstones of both his and Trump’s campaign.

There are two genders. Fossil fuels are a requirement. Reverse racism is racism. An open border is not a border. Parents determine the education of their children. Capitalism lifts us up from poverty. There are three branches of government…not four.

Trump was celebrating the largest margin of victory for a Republican in any Iowa caucus with 51% of the vote. The next-closest contender, Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida, was 30 points behind.

Ramaswamy got 7% in Iowa. He had run a campaign that refrained from criticizing Trump and, at times, even defended him.

Trump said the major news networks declined to run his victory speech after the Iowa results, while airing comments from the distant second and third place winners, DeSantis and Nikki Haley. Trump called Haley pro-amnesty, pro-open borders, pro-war and a nominee endorsed by all the RINOS (Republicans in Name Only). He also said Democrats are supporting Haley.

Haley has said she is the Republican party’s best chance of beating President Joe Biden. While polls show Trump beating Biden, they also show Haley beating Biden by a larger margin in a hypothetical matchup.

  1. Ramaswamy won no points with Trump with his elongated rambling rant.

He’s almost as bad as Hayley who champions the erasing of history. DeSantis OTOH continues his respectful campaign and becomes more attractive as time passes. Sadly there is no path for him even though he may be the most qualified at this point..
