(POLL) Economy is #1 issue in 2024 election

With the 2024 presidential election approaching, most voters say they still see the economy as more important than national security or immigration-related issues.

That’s according to Rasmussen Reports.

The survey finds that 94% say they believe economic issues will be important in this year’s presidential election, including 23% who say they expect the economy to be a “very important” issue.

The economy edges out national security, seen as an important issue by 92% of voters, including 70% who say they think it will be “very important” in the presidential election.

Eighty-nine percent (89%) say they believe immigration-related issues will be important in the election, including 64% who say it will be “very important.”

The survey finds important differences in how voters view the importance of issues along party lines.

For example, far fewer Democrats (48%) than Republicans (75%) or voters not affiliated with either major party (70%) expect immigration-related issues to be “very important” in this year’s presidential election.

Similarly, fewer Democrats (59%) than Republicans (78%) or unaffiliated voters (76%) say they think economic issues will be “very important.”

Republicans (80%) are more likely than Democrats (65%) or unaffiliated voters (66%) to say they believe national security issues will be “very important” in the election.

  1. The economy is the pain point, bloated government bureaucracy, energy policy that drives up costs, government spending on foreign conflicts, illegal
Immigration, and wasteful programs are drivers of this pain. The economy won’t get better until policy changes.
