(POLL) Most-used social media: GAB

GAB takes the top spot with 38% of respondents choosing it as their most-used social media platform.

That’s according to the latest unscientific poll at SharylAttkisson.com.

GAB launched in 2017 with a goal of promoting free speech, individual liberty, Christian values and the “free flow of information online.”

X, formerly know as Twitter and owned by free speech advocate Elon Musk, placed a close second place registering 32% of the vote.

Truth Social, the platform created by Former President Trump’s media group, came in a distant third, garnering 11% of the vote.

Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook, which was one of the original social platforms, took fourth place with 7% of the vote.

Facebook and Instagram, both owned by Zuckerberg, have faced heavy criticism in recent years regarding its censorship of free speech and manipulation of algorithms to downthrottle posts that go against the preferred mainstream narrative.

  1. I was starting to use Gab more, but suddenly I’m BLOCKED from returning to the site.

I believe in free speech and treating individuals by their own actions, but one day I had standard access and no complaints, and the next day, clicking my browser link, BLOCKED with zero recourse except to email the website, but NO email given.

I see that Israel has received a blanket block, but I’m not in Israel. Being billed as a patriotic, free speech site, Gab sure didn’t live up to its own reputation.
