(POLL) 2024 Election: Economy and immigration rank more important than abortion issue

Eight months before the presidential election, economic issues and immigration matter more to voters than abortion.

That’s according to the latest Rasmussen Reports.

The national survey found that 91% of likely U.S. voters believe economic issues will be important in this year’s presidential election, including 65% who expect the economy to be a “very important” issue.

Seventy-seven percent (77%) of Republicans, 58% of Democrats and 62% of voters not affiliated with either party now expect economic issues will be “very important” in the presidential election.

Seventy-nine percent (79%) of Republicans, 45% of Democrats and 61% of unaffiliated voters think immigration-related issues will be “very important” in November.

Sixty-six percent (66%) of Democrats, 28% of Republicans and 32% of unaffiliated voters say abortion will be a “very important” election issue this year.

Men (71%) are more likely than women voters to think economic issues will be “very important” in the election, while more women voters (49%) than men (38%) expect the abortion issue to be “very important.”

President Joe Biden’s strongest supporters are most likely to consider abortion an important issue.

Among voters who “strongly approve” of Biden’s job performance as president, 87% say the issue of abortion will be “very important” in this year’s election.

By contrast, among those who “strongly disapprove” of Biden’s performance, only 25% expect abortion to be a “very important” issue in November.

  1. It stands to reason a uncontrolled border impacts millions while abortion impacts a few within that circle of friends. Couple the fact abortion is nothing more then a crud form of birth control. Those responsible can easily prevent pregnancy if they really choose to.

  2. Upon seeing the comments on the polling on Global Position, which is a direct result of who is in the Oval Office, it would appear this poll reflects a truer representation of the voters. Knowing which issues are more, or most important to them has to be more accurate than what one thinks of a candidate.

  3. It makes sense to me.
The Invasion by the Illegals is a priority for the Left for that is the main means of destroying America and Western Civilization. But Biden cannot campaign on that nor can he give the reason it is happening.
The Economy is another bust for Biden. Can’t sugar coat it, be he can lie. If this does not include the Debt, then I am adding it here.
Abortion is the top Left issue, because it takes people’s minds off the economy and immigration and it is all about saving America’s democracy. The election falls in here.

Keep in Mind that I estimate about 40% of the electorate wishes to see America destroyed.

LOL — Abortion isn’t a factor in the presidential election because it’s an issue over which a president has ZERO control — UNLESS the intent is to elect a president that intends to stack the Supreme Court with additional justices.
In that case, they might just as well make stacking the Supreme Court an election issue.
