Republicans seek info re: illegal immigrant charged with murdering Laken Riley

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin) and numerous of his colleagues have written Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas requesting additional information about accused killer Jose Ibarra.

Laken Riley

Ibarra, a Venezuelan criminal who entered the US illegally in 2022, is charged with the murder of Laken Riley, a nursing student at Augusta University in Georgia.

The senators’ letter highlights Ibarra’s lengthy criminal history. According to the letter:

In 2022, Ibarra was arrested by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) near El Paso, Texas after illegally entering the United States, but was paroled and released.

In the months leading up to Laken Hope Riley’s murder, Ibarra had multiple encounters with state and local law enforcement, including charges of reckless endangerment of a child in New York City and a misdemeanor shoplifting citation in Georgia.

Despite consistently demonstrating a clear disregard for US law, Ibarra was never taken into Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) custody.

In their letter, the senators question the Biden administration’s ability or desire to effectively secure the border. They are requesting Homeland Security provide all documents and records related to Ibarra including the Alien file and communications between federal agencies.

  1. There’s only one person to blame for this tragedy—- Biden and his reckless idea of opening the border. Only driven by the idea of getting back at Trumps border wall building. Just proves how vindictive and hatred filled he really is. He’s the real guilty one.

  2. I would prefer not to see the face of the murderer, but rather the face of the innocent victim, Lakin Riley. This illegal alien monster deserves zero publicity.
