11 days later, he claimed to not know that Donald Trump had been hit by an assassin’s bullet
In an embarrassing rebuke to FBI Director Chris Wray’s sworn testimony to Congress, his own agency has reportedly issued a statement saying that he was wrong.
In testifying before the House Judiciary Committee this week, Wray told members of Congress that it wasn’t necessarily a bullet that hit former president Donald Trump in the head during his July 13 rally in Pennsylvania.
This echoed a conspiracy theory that was widely circulated, without evidence, by Trump’s enemies shortly after the shooting. They claimed Trump was hit by glass from a shattered teleprompter, or that Trump staged a fake shooting to boost his popularity.

In testifying to Congress, Wray said that what hit Trump could have been a bullet, shrapnel, or glass.
Today, the FBI issued as statement contradicting its Director’s supposed uncertainty.
“What struck former President Trump in the ear was a bullet, whether whole or fragmented into smaller pieces, fired from the deceased subject’s rifle,” read an FBI statement given to ABC News.
The idea that the head of the FBI would not have full information, or would misrepresent it to Congress, incensed Trump supporters.
After Wray cast doubt on Trump’s shooting, Trump posted on social media:
“No, it was, unfortunately, a bullet that hit my ear, and hit it hard. There was no glass, there was no shrapnel. The hospital called it a ‘bullet wound to the ear,’ and that is what it was.”
It’s not the first time Wray has given incorrect information to Congress. He repeatedly testified, falsely, that there have been no “702” surveillance abusesagainst US citizens.
Separately, an FBI agent was retaliated against when he alerted others to misleading or false testimony he said Wray provided Congress about the January 6 Capitol riots. Also, a watchdog group has accused Wray of giving false information about the targeting of Catholics.
Additionally, Wray held back FBI documents that documented a “reliable source” alleging a “criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national.” A whistleblower told Congress the documents existed. The FBI belatedly turned over a redacted version under threat of subpoena. Then, years after, when Trump announced he was running for president again, Wray’s FBI charged the source who made the allegations of the criminal scheme involving the Bidens.
And Wray has declined to give any information on the role that FBI informants and undercover agents played in the January 6 Capitol riots.
FBI Directors are appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate. They typically serve 10 years. President Trump appointed Wray in May of 2017 after firing James Comey before the end of Comey’s 10-year term.
In August of 2019, the Department of Justice Inspector General recommended Comey be charged with crimes for various schemes related to disparaging President Trump and mishandling sensitive and classified documents.
The IG said that Comey improperly leaked official FBI records to the press; kept copies of work memos he made against Trump in his personal safe at home; and violated FBI policies by providing copies of the memos to his personal attorneys without proper authorization. One of the memos contained classified information, said the IG.
However, the Department of Justice declined to prosecute Comey: one of their own.
If Trump is re-elected, Wray will have a little more than two years left in his term. FBI Directors can be removed by impeachment, or the President can fire them.
Meantime, Trump has announced plans to return to Butler, Pennsylvania for a campaign appearance, and as a tribute to the rally attendee who was shot and killed by what’s assumed to be a stray bullet fired by Trump’s would-be assassin.

Wray knew exactly what he was doing! Giving a sound bite to the evil MSM hacks! He’s a disgusting degenerate, like most of Washington lackey’s!
Even Trump said it hit his ear; that’s why so much blood. Was it shrapnel or a bullet graze doesn’t matter, someone tried to kill him! So, I don’t see how that effects the investigation.
What most probably happened on the attempt on President Trump’s life? There is a massive rush to blame the kid, the incompetence of the local police and now the focus on the Democrats to find a viable Presidential candidate and the Olympics. Why is there no focus on the multiple proven reports of 3 shooters? Even CNN reported. Very early sound forensics reported that there were at least 3 shooters with the first 3 shots were from a high powered gun much more powerful than the gun the kid had. The gun the shot that hit President Trump came from that gun. Also a photo taken by a photographer standing right in front of President Trump, with a high speed lens caught the trajectory, The shot was traveling up from a position well below President Trump. It could not have come from the roof. I could easily have come from the first floor of the building the kid was on. The next 4 shots came from a gun like the kid had and the last, from it is assumed, was the shot that took the kid out. There is another mystery….a crime scene blood analyst indicated that if the kid had been hit with a bullet from the sniper on the other side of the podium, the blood splatter would have been massive and wide spread…It was not. Also the body would have been more mangled and his teeth would have been behind his body not ahead…..this suggests the last shot sound was from someone on the roof behind the kid, who shot him at close range to remove a potential onsite witness. I hope the Congressional investigation follows the readily available facts and not get caught up in gas-lighting by the mainstream media and some agencies.
I don’t believe Wray is clueless, just another puppet of the DeepState. A ‘Liar for hire’ works for me.
Wray seems to be the useful idiot for the deep state. One wonders what he will do when they turn on him, and they will. He will reap what he has sown. Ty and have blessed day

I would like to know why NYTimes sent its top gun
photoreporter to a small event in rural Pennsylvania.
Better yet, he overrode settings to trigger camera
shutter at 1/8000th of a second. Nobody does that
for photoreporting. You can catch droplets of
splashing water at less then 1/600th speed on a
sunny day. Was he there to document historical
event? What are the chances of that?
“When you review pics from J6, you will notice
3 pro photoreporters inside Capitol with $20k
worth of gear each. Their pics ended up on front
pages of all newspapers in US the following day.
Who paid them to be there? Who and when
arranged them to be inside at picture perfect

The Charlottesville riots were staged
—as there had been an interview by
a black journalist with an eyewitness
( female ), who had watched – the
previous day’s activities ! – as busses
pulled up in downtown Charlottesville
and disgorged pro- and anti-statue folks,
carrying pro- and anti-statue posters
—both black and white people ( again,
coming out of the same busses ! ! ! ).
She reported how they had entered
a nearby restaurant and violently
harassed patrons—driving them all
out and causing injuries, even to a
couple of children.
The URL to that interview has, of course,
been censored to oblivion. But some
folks had captured paper copies, one
of which this scribbler printed, but
tried and failed to get a copy to Sharyl
( another strange story, as I could not
mail it—but had to drive 800 or so to
her office and deliver it—to no avail,
because she had not responded ).
One had to have watched the video-
grapher and see that he/she was in
communication with someone watching
the car that eventually struck the
young women—who, by the way, had
O P P O S E D taking down that statue
( and, by the way, any artist could see via
that videographer’s camera-work how
badly everything – about the day of riots –
